    Icon22 Deep war beta testing...

    To all,

With only two missions left, I should have 'Deep war' ready by this weekend. I have to write the readme, but that should not be a big deal. I am looking for two more volunteers (Ajax has already helped me tremendously) to test this new campaign, ensuring that I have all of the kinks out. And of course, feel free to post any screenshots.

I would be glad to test and fix any problems if within my expertise. Looking forward to new campaigns, cannot get enough of CFS2.

I finished all of the missions tonight, but now I have to write the readme and get the package ready for beta testing.

    Still, progress!

I couldn't sleep last night because I was so excited, so I did the readme last night.

    To whom it may concern,

I am looking for one more experienced beta tester who could help me with ship scatter issues on certain missions, as well as how to coordinate bombs so they fall on target with regards to moving convoys and ships.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Rami,

I think this keeps getting pushed to the bottom due to new threads.

I'll stick it for a few days to keep it a little more active.

By the way, it looks like it'll be fun.

    Jagdflieger,

This is the premise of "Deep War"...

'This is the readme for the ‘Deep war’ campaign, which extends “Operation Barbarossa” into 1942. This campaign involves varied types of missions, including interception and ground attack, as well as ferry missions from one base to another, giving you an opportunity to get the feel of a new aircraft along the way. Because of the campaign timeframe, it allows you to fly a number of lend-lease aircraft, including the Hawker Hurricane and the Curtiss P-40 Tomahawk. You will also have the opportunity to fly the Yakovlev Yak-1b, Lavochkin LaGG-3-35, and the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3.

Because the Finnish also used a slew of aircraft types, you will have many air battles you won’t find almost anywhere else. Dogfights include battles with Finnish P-36s, Brewster Buffaloes, and Hawker Hurricanes, to name a few. German opponents are also included, of course.'

I asked several people to beta test this, including EC_ILO, who was instrumental in fixing the problems with Desert Air Force. His report last night told me what I needed to do to fix a couple of missions, and I made the changes he suggested. This helps to give a better product to all of you!

Lastly, I included a campaign file which allows you to fly both the "Barbarossa" campaign and the "Deep War" campaign in sequence.

With Barbarossa, Deep War, Leningrad, and Normandie-Niemen, we new have near-continuous action for the Russians from the invasion of 1941 through October of 1943.

    Ajax,

What's the process / status of Stalingrad?

Hi all, Rami was kind enough to let me beta-test his Deep War campaign. Even if I didn't test the whole campaign, I may strongly advise you to play it, it is a top-level work ! Thanks and congratulations Rami !!!

    Ajax,

What's the process / status of Stalingrad?
Well, I had to make a break during last year, then my hard drive crashed and I lost many, many things. And for now, I'm off CFS2 activities, due to real life obligations. So, I'm afraid there's not much new ; when I get back to it, I'll have to rebuild first what I have lost... I think, about 20 or 25 airbases, then... then to make the missions. Sorry guys, the project is not abandoned, but is is seriously delayed.
