    Cool Excuse my absence...

I've been gone for almost a week, so if I haven't answered something you sent, do not think ill of me. I was not ignoring anyone....just not able to respond. :d

I had to deal with a healthcare issue last week on an emergency basis, however I am back good as new......and perhaps even better than before.

I left him with $1,200 and a Gold Amex card a few miles south of Juarez in a hacienda currently serving as an upscale bordello. When last seen, he was negotiating a weekly rate on the 'all inclusive' plan. I had to get back to the hospital in time to meet my surgeon, who had told me I needed to give the bordellos a wide berth for a couple of weeks. :costumes:

...the prognosis is excellent. I just had a quadruple-bypass open-heart surgery to correct 4 (read it and weep) major arterial blockages. I had no symptoms and no heart damage (because of 'well-developed cross-circulation')....an irregularity simply showed-up on my annual physical EKG. Both my cardiologist and heart-surgeon told me candidly that they had never had a case turnout better than mine. I went in last wednesday morning, had surgery thursday morning and they put me back on the street monday afternoon. And I feel great.....because my V8 is running on all 8 cylinders now instead of just 6! I'm just full of pith and vinegar. :ernae:

Great catch by the doctors and I'm glad the recovery was no major ordeal. I just took my military physical a few months ago and that includes an EKG. Fortunately I'm still good to go for another couple of years.

Been there several years ago. To me, the worst part was the feeling of absolute helplessness and weakness while I recovered. But it even had a bright side, I gave up smoking. That was years ago and now my life is better in so many ways. Hang in there and do (and believe) what the doctor tells you. Off the subject, what part of Tn are you from. I have relatives in the Bristol tri-cities area. Love the mountains up there.

    Whoa!

Tango, that was a close one! thank God you caught that in time..real life takes us all away from the basement for awhile but this is about as real as it gets!
God speed on a quick recovery.
