Matching Skins with Models

Just wondering how important it is to match a skin with a particular aircraft model.

The reason I ask is that I want to d/load OBIO's iwo_jima_mustang-collection. Thing is it says it's for the W. Carter P-51D (FSDS3_P51.ZIP) and I can't find that anywhere.

I have the VB_P51D and was wondering if OBIO's skins would work with it.

Aircraft models are different...each has its own particular texture mapping. Sometimes skins from one plane (such as the FDG2 P-51B/C) will fit another plane by the same maker (such as the FDGS P-51B with the Malcom Hood). But this is rare. In 99.999% of the cases, textures from one plane will not work on another.

Warwick Carter's P-51D is in our library. Let me go digging and I will provide you will the links to the various downloads to put it all together.
