Not all beaver floatplanes do - tragic

    Hey All,

A beaver went down yesterday killing 6 including a 6 month-old baby. Pilot and one passenger survived though.

Apparently it was the same beaver that was in the Harrison Ford movie!

    RIP Folks...

An edit: I've flown Seair a few times - never in one of their piston beavers just their turbo-beaver, 185 and 208. The piston beavers I've been in were Baxter planes while the turbo-otter I've been in was Harbour Air.
My heroes have always been cowboys and they all carried guns-
and they all rode horses-that is all but one.
When he went to the rescue he flew a Cessna plane.

    Thats horrible.

I wonder what happened.. If there was fog, he might have flown back into the water if he wasnt watching his instruments..

May their souls rest in peace.

I wonder if this is the plane from that island movie?

That is so tragic. My wife and i fly Seair every summer out to the cabin on Thetis Island so this hits close to home for us.They are a good charter company and the aircraft are always in great condition.Weather out there at this time of year changes so quick. You can fly into a fog bank, rain sqaull, high winds at the drop of a hat out in the islands.RIP to all that perished
