    Which P-38 should I go for ?

Hello there! Now that my FSX has come back to normal (no more elephant man aircrafts for those who remember ), I would like to fly the P-38 in this FSX world.

It seems two P-38 have been released for FSX. My question is in the title:
    Which P-38 should I go for ?
the FSD one ? the Sky unlimited one ?
    thanks for your smart advice!

I have both and fly both in about equal shares. I'm going out on a limb, but to me, the flight models on both aircraft with all service packs installed is a toss up. I like the panel in the SU version better, but only just. They both have their strengths, I do like the modern panel FSD provides. The exterior textures as delived are better on the FSD airplanes - and the add on schemes for FSD are incredible. I expect some of our favorite repainters will equalize that. Bottom like, if I had to live with just one I would go to FSD. But, you'd be well served with either.

I have both, I fly both and I have painted both:

    a few shots for comparison:

The SU version first, FSD second in these pics.
This is only my opinion of course, but I think the FSD version wins it on all counts, except for price, and the fact that there is a F-5 in the SU package.
The FSD is the more detailed model (look at the wheels for instance), with more detailed textures (with stencils), I prefer the FSD cockpit and the 'feel' of the FSD version. The sounds are more or less the same to my ears (both by David Copley?). The one thing I do not like about the FSD version is the fact that you always have make the pilot appear.
SU has the simpler model, slightly better fps and comes with a F-5. Had this been the only P-38 for FSX, most people would have been very happy.
Now there is a choice, and, for me anyway, a slightly better option.
Both are worth the money though..especially now, after some initial hiccups for both models were cured.

Thank you Guys for your advice; I knew it wouldnt be easy to make the decision!
I guess I'll go for the FSD P38. (I like the modern panel as well)...but I like the SU P38 too...
    thanks anyways!
