Time to start off in a modern aircraft. Attempting to get from EGUN-LHBP

Had to divert to Bratislava (LZIB). Due to a software failure. For some reason i lost all my ground textures and scenery leaving me with a few taxi markings and airport bulidings. No runway or papi. Fortunately the aircraft was perfect and with a combination of ILS and radio altimeter i was able to get her down safely. Check out the screenshots

Splendid airmanship to land at "Ground Zero"

I've spent a couple of days trying to get rid of this scenery crashing problem and i think i've got it sorted.
Gonna ptress on with an attempt to Caycuma in northern Turkey (LTAS)

Aborted the flight, i forgot i had to divert on the last leg and never made it to Budapest.
    Restarting from LZIB-LTAS

Wouldn't want to cut it any closer than that. 6 Gallons of fuel left on landing. Barely enough for a go around. A little worrying when i couldn't see the runway because of a hill but got my approach spot on.

Going to attempt the long trip to Baghdad. I have good winds but its past the range limit of the Duke at full power.

Excellent, Harv. The professional Duke pilot skillfully manages the aircraft within its limitations.

A terrific challenge to "race" the aircraft with the range-speed tradeoffs at different altitudes and engine power-mixture-prop settings, while at the same time guessing about the winds aloft. Great thanks to Sean Moloney and Rob Young for their wonderful work on creating a superb aircraft and flight model. IMHO.

Agreed 100% Mike, it really is one of the best paywares about.
Timed it just right again. 8 gallons of fuel left and not a bad speed even backed off from "full throttle"

Quick splash and dash. Winds are excellent so pushing on down to Bushehr (OIBB)

Overstressed on descent. I ignored the Vne and was watching the limit line on the ASI insteadand waiting for the "Overspeed" warning. It never came just an instant overstress. I probably shouldn't try these things out on a race leg

Oh well 1 hour penalty, reset back to Baghdad to try again.

All peachy this time, and even better tailwinds. Down at OIBB

Next leg will be interesting. Heading for OPDB which has no lighting. But i like a challenge

All round crazy flight. I got icing about 20 minutes into the flight which put me into a stall. Luckily i had enough altitude to get out of it. Then about 45mins out i lost 20kts speed for some reason, which was cured by turning on prop anti-ice. Then on descent i had major 180 degree wind shifts putting me 28kts over Vne momentarily, fortunately not enough to destroy the plane. Then to end it all the airport was pitch black with no lighting anywhere. Nice NDB to follow in though and no problems landing.
Maybe next time i won't try 3 legs in 1 day

After the trials and tribulations of last nights flight it was nice to have a nice smooth leg. Even the 2 mile visibilty on landing didn't pose any problems.

No visibility at Allahabad 1sm, but picked out the runway pretty good.Good tailwinds again, which will help the handicap.

Nice steady run, again with good tailwinds. Gorgeous day down here in Myanmar.

First flight for ages with headwinds. Made it a bit tight on fuel but nothing to worry about Beautiful blue sea around Thailand and then terrible visibility on landing again.
