Since most of your aircraft design work is freeware I am hoping that you will not mind sharing some FSDS design tricks with newbie FSDS modelers such as myself.

I made a biplane airliner in FSDS which has an open cockpit. There is a full VC and virtual cabin. The VC was nice to make because, due to the open cockpit, I could see everything where it went in the 3-d view.

Jens, I am thinking about your Short Kent flying boat with a virtual cockpit & virtual cabin. How did you know exactly where every part went in the virtual cockpit and cabin, if you cannot see through the skin of the aircraft while in "virtual cockpit-model" mode in FSDS? Is there a simple trickto this that I am missing?
    Thank you,

you can 'hide' the outer skin of the aircraft, thus letting you see inside. As long as the inner skin is a different part it will still be visible. I hope I've understood your question right, lol. You need to select the part (it highlights a different colour, yellow IIRC) and then hide it(check the drop down menus, it's been so long I've forgotten the shortcut keys.

Thank you, I will try this on my plane.
