Westward? Seems like the long way around
Evil crosswind flipped my kite, luckily I was on vapors so no fuel left to burn. Least I salvaged a bottle from behind the seat, now all I need is a block of cheese, and a French floozie for the night while the crew patches the canvas.
Night all,

Got up this afternoon smelling offensive but don't know if it was the cheese or the 'inexpensive' perfume from the groupie I picked up in the hotel lobby last night, but she left before I woke up (with my wallet) and left me with a collar covered in red lipstick and one heck of a hangover. I was gonna stay in the lounge tonight and count my blessings until a rather large burly man approached me, demanding the balance I owed on my apparent large loss at cards last night. So, grabbing a rather large tip from a nearby table I ran for the door on my way to the airfield,
I'm off again, baton resting comfortably in the map pocket of my newly repaired Fox.

Baton is down safely,
I wonder if the PX is open yet, it's dawn here, and about 100 ft visibility (we're all fogged in), guess it's time for some good Italian vino, and some chow.
G'night all.

Tho I personally could use 8 hours sleep, It's dawn at LIBR, so my day begins. My coffee should be brewed soon so I'm hoping my 18 hours awake can be streched a few more.
LIBR-LGIR, I have the baton.

Ahh, sunset at Bushehr means it time to start another run. I'm rested, fed and ready to go, I just hope I don't run into any more storms like last nights adventure but if I do I sure hope it clears up just before landing (just like last night- or more precisely this morning local OIBB time)
Today I start: OIBB to OIZJ

Glad to see you back at it MD! :ernae:
Down safely at VIAL,
Thanks Willy- was a bit disheartened because I had to give up on the traditional 'stick and rudder' run, spent the last week learning a new gauge set, studying satellite maps and weather patterns, and scouting these airports. A real shame I couldn't run it like the guys did back in the 30's but I wouldn't have stood a chance with this field, so I decided to play this 'game', I'll run the route the old fashioned way on my own time.
