Willy's Modern GA flight in the Cessna Death Machine

I'm setting up for my first leg flying from Mildenhall (EGUN) to Hof-Plauen, Germany (EDQM) in the FSD Cessna 337H Skymaster, N4AQ (aka: Cessna Death Machine or "CDM"). I'll be on the MAPE server and take off is shortly.

See Yall in Germany for Oktoberfest!

Landed in a thick fog at Hof (EDQM) after a flight that the winds were a bit frustrating. I kept a 25-30+kt wind from my 2 for most of the flight. Towards the end it shifted to my 4 at 8kts, then back on my 2 for the rest of the flight.

After the fight between me and Otto over how high we should fly (me and the sharp stick won), the CDM flew almost perfectly. I did find a stowaway in the back seat. At least he's pretty quiet. I think my flying had him speechless. Just hope he stays that way for the rest of the flight to Oz.

    Flight Time: 2:02:41

    Distance: 442.5nm

Now to plot the next leg, provided I don't get in too much Oktoberfest......

It was a pretty good flight to Budapest, but I'm starting to sense a pattern about weather conditions when it's time to land. The airport was fogged in again.

First time I've ever had a Cessna leave a contrail.

Made it to Bucharest with my load of garlic and silver bullets. Although I did come out of my descent a bit short of the airport.

Great flight with pretty weather and good tailwinds.

Well, I escaped out of Romania over Bulgaria, then crossed the Black Sea to Turkey. As usual, it was foggy on approach to the airport and this one is set down in a valley surrounded by hills. Made for an interesting moment when I saw trees going by the side window....

    Lodging a Duenna Protest!

Arrived at the Bagdad Checkpoint just fine. Good flight that caught me still in the with it getting dark...

Now for the protest. For some silly reason the Duenna decided to invalidate my flight. The only possible problem noted was when I came offline, the sim froze for a few seconds. But it does that with me all too regular. I do know that I did nothing wrong so I'm protesting the results of this Duenna.

    Total Time: 09:50:28

    Distance: 350.2nm
    Total Dist: 2170.5nm

The Duenna Error does not invalidate this flight. The Duenna had a second (03:38:52z) when it thought that you might have changed aircraft. (This seems to have been resolved to show at 03:38:53z that you were indeed flying the Cessna 337.) Otherwise, everything else looks absolutely normal. You were flying at a constant speed and altitude and did not move your location during that second of Duenna's indecision. As far as we can tell, this is a glitch--perhaps caused by your going offline and experiencing a momentary pause. We don't know for sure.

In any case, the flight is entirely valid.
