Small and Dangerous Airfields in Central America..Part I

Airfield serving the Mayan Ruins of Piedras Negras in Northern Guatemala. Very dangerous due to high winds. If you come here be sure to have signed the update of your ensurance policy to cover these areas......

Thanks falcon, but they are not photoreal!!!!!...just a trick here and there. Took me a while to realize how easy they were to make, had it in front of me for over a year and could not see it!!!!!......now I can make the series all right............ I can also relax and finish two models (solid wood) which I had postponed for this.......I will conquer the photoreal stuff eventually, Mike gave me some pretty good stuff to check out and pointed me in the right direction....

Wow Gera, did you build that scenery yourself ? It looks fantastic !!
Did you build other sceneries like this one already in the past ? I'm really interested in those small and tricky airfields.
By the way, is it ficticious or is it a real airfield ?

Hi Daube, happy you liked it....Piedras Negras is a Mayan Ruin site in Guatemala's Peten jungle area and it does have a small field, I did use some inmagination to "beef it up a bit" and its part of a series of "Mayan Sites" I have been making for a few months now. I have made a lot of scenery which I include in my Missions or flights, I usually do not upload it as just scenery.
I must now finish the Mayan Pyramids that will go together with these airfields and the Adventure flight to the sites which are still in an early state....

Thanks for the info Gera. I was not aware that you were creating sceneries, I though you were only creating missions ! I will have a look into your past creations then, looks like I have a lot of stuff to download now :ernae:

Thanks everyone......I think I will release the Mayan Scenery fields in about a month or so and then I´ll continue with other small fields in Yucatan, Honduras and the rest of C.A......there is one in Nicaragua that´s totally crazy but very attractive to bush pilots.

To clarify to all who have written me.....

I make "scenery" for all the Missions and Flights I do since they are part of the "story" these convey. Maybe I should upload "scenery" by itself for those who don´t care about Missions or flights.
