Yep, great job. That's one of the two that I did for Ito's. Nice work.

    Doublecool,
The old attitude indicator was the one that was off, so I replaced it with one that I could get aligned. Also redid how I tex'd the polys. Maybe simply try inserting a different gauge? Did that make any sense?

In FSX one can do anything!
    <!-- / message -->

Thanks for the reply Piglet, it looks like some good folks have been working on the a new attitude indicator

    Many Thanks

I use PKZip or PowerArchiver 2000. Any program that extracts .zip files should
    do the trick.

To 're-cab', there is a program in the FSX SDK under
    "SimObject Creation", "CabDir SDK".

    How does this look Ed?

I played with the gold stripe in the spec layer so it changes colour as the sun hits it now and I am also totally reworking the interior as I felt such a classy outside needed an inside to match.

It will be a day or so before it's ready to upload, lots of copying and pasting stuff to do so I can add layers under the knobs, switches and gauges. :isadizzy:

Yep, really well done Larry. I agree on the interior. . .it does need some updating to match the fancy exterior. Thanks for doing these two they are great additions to this beautiful airplane.

    LOL

It's straight on the aircraft, trust me.

That shot is showing the model with full left rudder applied.

Ok I read that page under the SDK but could you spell it out for me? I'm having issues getting the cab compress function to work. I rarely use CMD prompt and I don't understand the syntax:

    Code:
    cabdir [switches] source_dir [dest_cab]
For example, I have a folder on my desktop labeled "new cab files" - this contains all the new files AND piglet's original gauge files (of course newer files overwrote the older ones)

So I run the cmd prompt, and type cabdir [/compress] c:\users\ryanbatc\desktop\new cab files\*.*

And the message comes up: "Must specify a wild card, directory, or cab file with destination

    What does that mean?

    VERY nice!
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to

This is the repaint I've been waiting for, very much looking forwards to this!

Here is some info I found awhile ago somewhere:

    Simple syntax e.g.: cabdir c:\empty xxx.cab
or, even simpler, put all XML gauges in a folder and drop the folder onto cabdir.exe
    to create the .CAB file.
*** Note: Appears to require more than one file in the folder or CABDIR crashes ***

Looks llike you went too far in specifying the \*.* -- maybe stop at the folder name. Dragging and dropping is far more efficient once you get the idea of how you can drag a folder from one explorer window and drop it onto the cabdir.exe filename being displayed in another explorer window. This creates a .CAB file with the name of the folder in the same location as the original folder that had all the .XML files in it.

Alrighty, forget the old school MS dos prompt way...

I googled for cabdir and found this really basic cab maker with a simple GUI.

Link (in case anyone wants one)
    http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-69931.html

But now after all this work (lol) I've found my attitude indicator downloaded from the L-188 simviation link provided DOES NOT look the same as the one in your picture. I really like that one, but not the one that now resides on my panel

At least my radio alt works now! woohoo!

Just drag and drop the folder onto the cabdir.exe file and
it will automatically create the CAB of the same name as the folder.

    You wait is almost over.

I just uploaded the files and here are a few screenies to show it off.

If you look closely you can see how the sunlight glints off the gold stripe.

Of course such a classy exterior needed a classy interior too so I fitted her out with cream leather seats, Berber carpeting, cream paintwork and an oak burr fascia panel.

It took longer to rework the interior than it did to do the outside paint job but I think it was worth it. She certainly looks a million dollars now and incidentally there is a Paris wearing this scheme for sale right now at a quarter of that price! I need a lottery win.....FAST!

    Enjoy!

You're welcome Ed. It was frustrating at times trying to get the curves right and futzing around with all the screws and gauges that needed to be copied and pasted to a new layer one at a time! :isadizzy:

I still have a few more civvy paints I want to do, one day I may actually get to fly her again!

I will upload a cream panel version tomorrow just for you Ryan.

It will just be a couple of files to take out the wood in the VC and in the external view so you will still need the previous upload.
