    Yes there are two missing (blank) gauges in my VC - one in front of the pilot and one in front of the co-pilot) and one missing just to the left of center in the pop-up panel.

    I can fix it myself, however. I need only to rename the original cab file and modify the panel.cfg references to the ahi gauge accordingly and then store both the original cab file and the HOTFIX cab file in my gauges directory.

    Piglet, your saab J 29 was my favorite of yours jet before this Beauty.
    I know this may be asking for much but for those of us whom like the original interior and gauges is there an easy fix for the glass on the G meter? I tried the new interior model file with old gauges and the Attitude Indicator is off.

    Piglet, I Thank you again for this wonderful plane

    There was a Tutor for FS9 out there, I think on Avsim. It might work in FSX...

    Seeing as this is a civilian repaint I also reworked the interior to have brown leather seats and changed the pilots uniforms to a civvy type of white shirt and blue trousers/pants. I also gave them bright yellow life jackets in case they do any over-water flights.
    Enjoy!

    Interesting nose and canopy mods.
    Doublecool,
    The old attitude indicator was the one that was off, so I replaced it with one that I could get aligned. Also redid how I tex'd the polys. Maybe simply try inserting a different gauge? Did that make any sense?
    NICE addon and plane! Anyone knows if it is possible to use Paris Jet on unpaved runways? I found no photos from real.
    In FSX one can do anything!

    WIP, taking a bit to convert what I knew (for FS9) to what I need to know for FSX repaints. It's coming along, just takes a bit longer so I don't miss a step. Hopefully this will be ready tomorrow for upload.

    Hello everybody.
    Congratulations for this amazing bird! I love it.
    For those who are interested by replacing the attitude indicator. I changed the default one by FSKBT L188 electra's one. You can see the result on the attached screenshots. In my opinion it is more realistic.

    As mentionned by falcon409 in a previous page

    Ok,
    After looking at the original and the current one I did, the problem was a typo in the original:
    gauge00=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio Audio, 6,2,246,47
    gauge01=Bendix_king_dark!Bendix-King Radio Nav-Comm 1, 274,6,213,78

    lol, so you can fix it easily by just correcting that typo
    you can replace black
    I noticed a problem with the radio altimeter. I found the problem.
    The xml is searching for the needle! To fix it you can download the F5A_PACK by Mr Piglet for fs9

    http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?lloc=downloads&loc=downloads&FileType=fs 2k4&page=downloads&Category=aircraft&ammm=100&pap= 2#download

    extract the file f5_asi_ndl.bmp from the f5a.cab
    insert it in the MS-760.CAB

    Now you can low pass with the Paris!
    (you can view the result on the above screen shot)

    Happy flying with this great aircraft and thanks for this forum, i read it each time with the same pleasure.

    Some thank you screenshots for you guys.

    Hello ryanbatc,

    you can download the electra
    at simviation
    http://www.simviation.com/simviation...&ID=61&page=25
    or at flightsim
    http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm..._ELECTRA_X.ZIP
    Extract from L_L188.CAB the files with a name beginning by Attitude (12 files, 11 .BMP and 1 XML).
    Take these files and put them into MS-760.CAB.
    Now you have to change the lines in your panel.cfg

    gauge00=MS-760!ahi, 380,828,186,177

    and

    gauge02=MS-760!ahi, 405,6,100,100

    respectively
    into
    gauge00=MS-760!Attitude Indicator, 380,828,186,177
    and
    gauge02=MS-760!Attitude Indicator, 405,6,100,100

    In fact you simply replace ahi by Attitude Indicator nothing more to change.

    I think it's clear

    What's the problem Ed? You looked like you were doing OK and just needed to finish the tanks and canopy (you won't be able to paint the canopy exactly like the real thing though due to the glass transparency and the fact the blinds are part of the model).

    For anyone who hasn't already done this, I added a Radio Stack popup. Here's what you need to make it work:
    Add this line under the [Windows Titles] section
    Window02=Radio_Stack

    Add this section after the [Window01] Section
    [Window02]
    Background_color=0,0,0
    size_mm=340,660
    window_size_ratio=1.000
    position=0
    visible=0
    ident=30
    window_size= 0.500, 0.500
    window_pos= 0.000, 0.000
    gauge00=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio Nav-Comm 1, 5,61,332,117
    gauge01=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio Nav-Comm 2, 5,177,332,119
    gauge02=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio Audio, 7,3,329,59
    gauge03=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio Xpndr, 5,294,332,97
    gauge04=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio DME, 5,391,332,80
    gauge05=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio ADF, 5,470,332,77
    gauge06=Bendix_king_radio!Bendix-King Radio AP, 5,547,332,110

    I also added a simicon for the avionics popup but it doesn't show, so you'll just need to use the "shift+3" keystroke to bring that up. It may or may not need to be resized but I figure everyone is pretty much aware of how to do that.

    The gold stripes did me in. Trying to get them to look correct, at the right thickness and taper correctly. . .I just got fed up messing with it. It took me a bunch of tries even when I did that repaint for Ito's Paris jet. . . .too much of a hassle and there are too many talented FSX artists out there that can produce these repaints much faster and better quality than anything I can do.

    Hmmmm....OK...a convincing gold is always a difficult thing to get in a paint program. I will have to revist Chris B's excellent tutorial he put up on here and maybe give it a go myself.

    No, it wasn't the color, I had that easily, it was just getting the flow of it to look right from the thin taper at the nose then maintaining an even thickness over the wing root and than tapering again up to the vertical stab. It just wasn't working.

    Ahhh OK...yes they can be a bit tricky. The trick to that is to use vector graphics and especially bezier curves. I would be lost without my 'pen' tool in PS.

    It would appear that scheme has had two different registrations too. I just found this shot of N760JS with the same 'Jet Set' scheme but in this shot the gold lining looks more silver. There aren't many decent shots of that scheme around on the net unfortunately, I have only found about six in my extensive searches.

    If you want that scheme I can give it a go for you if you like.

    Yea, you'd think after spending 30 years as a graphic artist, this little piddly stuff wouldn't be a big deal. Guess I don't have the patience I used to have. I use PSP 8 and the bezier curve is what I was working with, I just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted.

    To add to a cab file you do need to 'de-cab' it first, then
    're-cab' it after you make changes.

    Alternativey, you can just leave the de-cab'ed files in a
    folder of the same name and place that in the panel folder.

    FSX searches for gauges in the folder before it resorts
    to looking in cab files.
