There is a free download for a RNZAF Strikemaster somewhere (maybe Avsim?). That plane also had that very type of TUROBOMECA jet engine - or at least a licenced version - as I learned from Wikipedia.

Or, what about Rick Piper's BAC Jet Provost T5 & Strikemaster v2.0 instead? Aaron Swindle did the sound for it. FS2004, the early days...

    Rick's download site is here:

Ok, I checked at one point I actually downloaded that package by Mikko and had just forgotten that I had put that in there... again terribly sorry to anyone who wasted their bandwidth on downloading the Magister.

AFAIK the Jet Provost/Strikemaster uses the RR Viper engine, a different design than the Turbomeca Marboré used in the Magister and Paris.
From my own experience with Magisters and Strikemasters they sound quite different, and Mike Hambly's soundpack included with Mikko Maliniemi's Fs2002 Fouga is the best option for Tim's Paris.

I've heard a fair few JP's taxying around in my time at Cosford, and I don't seem to recall them being anywhere near as high pitched at low RPMs. I do think your best bet is to go with the Magister sounds, seeing as it actually uses the same engine.

It looks like this same sound set has made the rounds for quite a while now because I pulled the sound set from the "Sea Venom" I recently downloaded by Robert Richardson to use in the Paris and that sound set is attributed to Mike Hambly.

I just uploaded the following repaint so it should be available within the next 24 hours once the Admins clear it.

Seeing as this is a civilian repaint I also reworked the interior to have brown leather seats and changed the pilots uniforms to a civvy type of white shirt and blue trousers/pants. I also gave them bright yellow life jackets in case they do any over-water flights.

    Enjoy!

    Tim,

FYI, I think there is yet a missing gauge in your Fix pack, namely the "ahi" gauge. It was there in the original cab file but not in the HOTFIX version downloaded here from SOH.

    Thanks for that, Ferry.

Make a excellent Canada Snowbird fictional replacement considering to my knowledge there is no native snowbird close to the actual AC.

Hmmm...interesting thought but not close enough to be convincing I don't think. Rick Piper's Jet Provost would be a better candidate and that works just great in FSX.

    Look for "Attitude_Indicator" instead.
Does your panel have a missing gauge?

    Fully enjoying this mate!

    Excellent job!

NICE addon and plane! Anyone knows if it is possible to use Paris Jet on unpaved runways? I found no photos from real.

  23. #123
So Piglet, what is your next project? And thanks for this one!

    Hello,

Frist, thank you very much for this wondderful aircraaft model.

Un the panel.cfg file of the original pakage, the attitude gauge is named "ahi".

In the fix_kit package an updated panel.cfg file is missing. In order to see the attitude gauge, you shoulld use the following [Vcockpit01] secction in the panel.cfg file
