Yep and it's thick cloud cover and drizzle in Manchester UK and likely to be the same tomorrow.

Gonna be cloudy, rainy and merky here and yer whereabouts too probably LD. I have only seen one good Perseid shower, way back in 1988, from White Oak Mountain. Rarely ever get skies that clear in August here, always dank and thick air.

By all bounds, the best meteor shower I have ever seen was the Leonids in November 2003. My oldest son, who was 11 at the time, gained his love of astronomy like his papa that night. We were mesmerized from 3:15 AM until it got too bright to see. You could not in any way see every meteor, it was literally raining meteors. It is etched in my mind, I do not think I shall ever see one better.

We had cloud cover last night and this morning.... didn't get to see a dam thing. Still overcast now and it don't look good for tonight either.

Too much light in J'ville to see anything ... course the weather anchor said we could expect to see 3 - 5 good ones in an hour of time ... I suppose if I would have stood outside a little longer than I had, I might have seen one or two ...

    But for the 15 - 20 minutes I was out looking up, I didn't see a thing.

We popped out for a few minutes before bed last night and my wife and daughter spotted a couple each but I missed them (looking in a different part of the sky). We may have a look again tonight if the skies are clear.

Got up at 3:00 AM and went out, one could barely see a few brighter stars, the moon, and Jupiter. Not a sky for meteor showers at all. Started sprinkling a little rain around 4:00. Will have to wait on the Leonids in November, always a pleaser if the moon is not too bright.

I went out 3 times, a little after midnight, at about 3:00 am, and again at 3:30 am ... not a shower in sight. It was clear as a bell here and stars golore.

Well, you should have gotten them out this morning!

My oldest son hears me flush the toilet and tells me they meteors are pretty nice. I get the lounger and lay out and sure enough, maybe not with as great a frequency, but we had a clear sky and we saw meteors, at least 3 dozen before 5:00 when dusk light made it too bright. There were two very fine meteors with long tails.

J'ville was subject to major lightning and thunder storms last night ... the only light show I got to see was the lightning. (Not too bad in itself, I like a good lightning show just the same!)

Sky still crud covered lastnight. Got rain this morning and it looks like it'll be a all day/night thing for us again.

I wanna see one of this big green balls 'a fire go wizzing by, like I did years ago up north in NY. Early 70s if I remember right. Now that was a show all by it's self.
