It was briefly mentioned in post 60, but here's the link to the file on Flightsim.com:

There's a link to a patch file in the description of the base file. If you do some searching, you'll also find an Airborne Early Warning version, a fire bomber, and the NOAA hurricane hunter.

Excellent! Thanks Downloading them now... I thought I had these in my 'aircraft storeroom' if not installed... Refreshing the sim is good for performance, but loses some of the old a/c we still want to use...

    Thanks again...

    Erm...the Mirages.
    Lots of 'em.
I'll start with the Mirage IV and keep going until someone stops me
A true gem, and one you can spend lots of time getting to know.

There are three volumes for this aircraft available on flightsim.com totaling about 160MB!
    Name: mir4vol1.zip Size: 84,082,713 Date: 05-12-2008 Downloads: 2,035
FS2004 Dassault Mirage IV P volume 1. By Roland Laborie, Jean-Pierre Bourbeois, Jean Pierre Langer.
    Name: mir4vol2.zip Size: 69,125,930 Date: 05-12-2008 Downloads: 1,136
FS2004 Dassault Mirage IV P volume 2. By Roland Laborie, Jean-Pierre Bourbeois, Jean Pierre Langer.
    Name: mirage_4.zip Size: 4,696,103 Date: 02-08-2004 Downloads: 4,686
FS2004 Mirage IV P, Squadron 1/91 of Mont de Marsan, job number 53. A Gmax model created by Laborie Roland. Flight model polished by Mathieu Dussart.

It's quite large, as can be seen when in company of a MirageIII

How about the DDAV collection. When I want to get in a quick flight fix, I load a DDAV selection. Quick landing with my bird of choice. Plenty to choose from. Landing is usually harder than taking off or flying around. Feel the adrenaline!

    Well with the kerfuffle surrounding the Aeroplane Heaven Grumman Xf-5;
    I recommend their Grumman F3 (its' a bi-plane,with a round engine) too.
First out for fs2002,but does work in fs9, wonderful gear animation.

Get it via Aeroplane Heaven's own site. (and don't forget to d/l the gauges too)

Hope I didn't miss these during the quick scan I just made, but three of my all-time favourites for FS9 are from Mario Noriega:

    Piaggio P.180 Avanti at: http://www.mario.wspilots.com/index....mid=62&lang=en

    And last but not least,

This is one of my favorite to fly. I think its much nicer than the Realflight as they are very similiar. Something about the detail grabs my eye.

I was doing a random search for aerobatic types the other day. Stumbled onto this. For some reason I couldn't view the pictures of it, so I downloaded it and installed it. When it loaded in the sim, I was amazed

FS2004 1938 Aeronca Model K (straight K). Built using FSDS2. Includes a 2D panel and a virtual cockpit. Uses 16 bit and DXT3 textures to save on file size. This is a daytime VFR aircraft and so does not carry radios or avioncs. By Steven D. Myers.

OK, back to some older scenery, for those that like a little enhancement to
'bush' airstrips, go here -----> http://www.timberwolfaviation.com/downloads/index.php
and search out those sceneries by 'Frank Betts'

Franks' own site closed down maybe 2/3 yrs ago, and though the pages are archived in the 'wayback machine'
you won't find the d/loads there, and even the timberwolf site is starting to lose files, so I'd say grab what you can before its' gone.

This is his 'Bronson Creek' (CAB5) enhancement

    For flying boat lovers

Please check out the Vought-Sikorsky flying boat with full VC and cabin and with beaching gear available on simviation. It has the livery of Avalon Air Transport, that used to ferry passengers in California.

    Beautiful freeware. Don't miss it.

    File Description:
Former payware package uploaded with permission of original authors. Built by the Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation this new/old biplane combines the beautiful and classic lines of the 1930s Waco and the new world of modern avonics. Of all the antique and/or classic biplanes of the pre-war era, the Waco is certainly the most beautiful of them all and Bill Lyons has packaged several repaints of the wheeled version and 2 repaints of a float version in this single download. Having an excellent dynamic 3D virtual cockpit (as all of Bill's aircraft have had since the days of FS98) and excellent sounds, this is truly an FS classic! Bear!
