    Now that looks great, mate!

Shame on me - one thing I just discovered on your last screenie is the slightly "worn" prop blade. Looking close to it, you can imagine the amount of unpaved air strips this aircraft operates on.

I missed this nice detail before...

    Cheers,
    Markus.

Thanks Markus. I wish I could take credit for the worn prop blade. The entire paint kit offers options for varying degrees of wear and tear, and dirt and grime, on the airframe. Another example of freeware that just impresses the hell out of me.

I've still got a few tweaks to make on textures for other parts of this bird before releasing it, but nearly there. Then it'll be abandoned ... I mean finished!

    Compliments of the Season,
    Randy

All those aeroplane built by Dave Molyneaux. Not just known for his wonderful Austers (and having sampled all of the real life versions, they are very very accurate!), but the likes of the Miles Messenger and Gemini and the Percival Prospector too.

    All can be found at:

The textures on the Simshed Wessex are the best I've seen on any FS 9 aircraft.

Agreed, especially when it comes to the AOP9! All of the major CBFS products will have a permanent place on my FS9 setup...particuarly the BAC 1-11, Comet, HS.748, and Trident. It's hard to believe they're freeware sometimes.

Who can forget the still amazing Falcon 50 by Yannick Lavigne, Fred Banting, and Rob Young. Originally designed for FS2002 and updated for FS2004. Still a beauty after all these years. The FS2004 update is kinda hard to find but here's a good copy.
can't find this, the link for this is gone

can anyone share a working linkey? i can find the 2002 version but not the FS9

If not too late, here's a superb payware-quality-freeware-gem that seems to have been overlooked. If you like to fly something different try Deane Baunton's excellent Aerospace FU24-950 Series Fletcher. It's a 'topdresser' featuring exquisite external model, fully animated and detailed virtual cockpit, topdressing effects and paint schemes for Super Air, Wanganui Aero Work and Phoenix Aviation, and a great soundsuite (recip and turboprop) to boot.

You might wanna try some of the excellent freeware New Zealand sceneries at the same time. There's a ton of it to download both at flightsim.com and Avsim. New Zealand is only one of the most beautiful and exiting countries to fly in. Remarkable it hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread....

File name is fu24_v2.zip and fu24walt.zip for the turboprop, both at flightsim.com and Avsim. ( FS9 and FSX versions )

Here's a clip of the real Fletcher at work : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loy2n8s_l00
