    Piglet's peculiar brakes

    The Zlin Z-50 is a super little plane, but mine has extremely sensitive brakes. Taxying, even with full back stick, a touch of brake is enough to whip the tail up and over and send the Zlin into some hairy low-level aerobatics. Landing just isn't feasible on a normal length runway. I'm lamentably ignorant about such matters, but if anyone else has run into this problem and found a solution, I'd really appreciate hearing about it.

    I found exactly the same problem but fixed it as shown below.

    Open up the Zlin aircraft.cfg file in Notepad and replace the entire [brakes] section with this data......

    [brakes]
    parking_brake =1
    toe_brakes_scale =0.8500
    differential_braking_scale =0.850000
    auto_brakes =0
    hydraulic_system_scalar=0.00000

    ....... once you have made the change save the file.

    This stops the nose over problem but still gives you enough braking to stop quickly. BTW the Zlin has a really low stall speed so you need to make your final approach at a fairly low speed or you will float for a long time.
