    Duenna files

Strange - I'm not able to attach any .JPG files...

Duenna jpg is in the link to the tracking site anyway, so that should not be much harm. Strange nevertheless.
Maybe still some work to do. Poor guys... good luck, and thanks again for providing such a great service!

    Bringing up the rear

    SBSJ SBSP
    Some bad weather ahead.

    Takeoff

    Takeoff Weight: [LINESTRIKE]115200 lbs[/LINESTRIKE]
    Declared Payload: [LINESTRIKE]30893 lbs[/LINESTRIKE]
    Fuel: 4400 lbs

    Edit: Ooooppppppssss..........
Don't know what happened, but upon landing I find payload only 18293 lbs. Must have pressed cancel instead of ok when changing the payload or something of this type...

Have to remember: Check and recheck fuel and weight. Another poster above my screen? That wall is getting crowded. :d

    So the real weights are:
    Takeoff Weight: 102600 lbs
    Declared Payload: 18293 lbs
    Fuel: 4400 lbs

(Remaining fuel, 1897.8 lbs, is coherent with 4400 gal at TO. So at least I didn't botch that, and am here to tell.)

    That climb to cruise level was heavy... the turbulences shook the plane around in all directions;
I don't think our passenger has appreciated.
Landing at Sao Paulo was fortunately easier with a ceiling 2000 ft above the field.

Does visibility "4" in the ATIS announcement mean 4 nm, or 4000 ft?

Looked rather like 4000 ft to me, but my perception may be biased by adrenaline...

    Landing

    Landing Weight: 100099.5 lbs
    Fuel Used: -2477.9 lbs
    Flight Time: 0:58:13
    Distance: 197.3 nm

    Penalties: 0

Visibility there will be in Statute Miles... so 4 statute miles.

Years ago I flew a Piper Cherokee from STL to LAF (filed VFR). Visiblity the entire way was reported 3 miles in Haze. Pilotage was next to impossible. No GPS then so VORs / NDBs were the "Nav du jour." Technically I was legal to fly VFR, but I learned that day that: Legal Smart.

So yes... 4sm visibility isn't a whole lot for VFR flying.

Hehe , I swear to me it looked like 4000 ft. :d

Austin, Dave, Edit: and Red, thanks for the support.
    Looking good.
The Rio de la Plata is in sight, sun's just coming up - beautiful.
That's one long adventure coming to a close...

    Not yet...

Well, well, well, not this time...

FS just quit as I dialed in the SAEZ ATIS frequency.

Well, that gives me the opportunity to do another flight. Actually I was getting quite nostalgic that this would be the last one. This trip has occupied me for quite some time now.

So, cool, I'll fly another one.

Sorry to the people come to the airport to pick up the latecomer. Fear you can go back to the party. But I'll be there soon, and then we can have a beer or two and tell stories from this great trip.

    Some photos nevertheless

Some pics of the last leg:
