    Cessna 182RG....with a VC?

I have a C182RG by Robert Hawk (maybe, maybe not, not sure..I have the plane for sure, but not totally sure who did it) but it does not have a VC. I came across an upload of the stock FS2002 C182RG on Flightsim.com, which had been updated for FS2004, but it had no VC either...but the read me file states that some panel tweaks were done by the uploader...whose name also has escaped me at the moment, but I know he is/was a developer with a goodly number of packages on Flightsim.com and Simviation.com...heck, I know I have a few of his planes.

Does anyone know of a freeware C182RG that has a VC? Does anyone know if the FS2002 default C182RG originally had a VC? If the FS2002 C182RG came with a VC, I might just have to shop around for a copy of that sim just for that plane. I really want a C182RG with a VC.

    Man OBIO,

If I were you, save up for a Carenado. Its worth it. I love my Carenado 182RG. Its like a real plane. You can almost smell the plastic and av-fuel in the VC. Everything is photo mapped in the VC. Your virtual flights will be all the more real with one of those.

Up to you. I know, they add up and not everyone has alot of money, but at $16.00, its the same as a case of beer, and the plane will last longer.

A case of beer would last me most of my life time. I think I drank 1.5 bottles of beer last year, haven't had a drop of beer yet this year. But $16 isn't that hard of a hit on the wallet...well it is right NOW, but in a couple weeks it may well be swingable. Of course, Corenado also has the 172 floater....

Here's some pictures of my girl(s).

The red and white stripe is a repaint I did with my own wood panel installed, (and seats with red piping).

Not sure what it is about the Cessnas that I like so much.....I prefer radial engined early GA aircraft...but I have an affinity for the Cessna line of aircraft. My collection of Cessna plane range from the Cessna AW/Azanni (by none other than our beloved Lionheart), to Brian Gladden's C140 with wheels and Floats, C195/LC126, 150, 414, 337, L19, and the stock Cessnas representing the 172, 183, 208 and 208B. I have the 182RG, but as previously stated, it does not have a VC....and I prefer to fly from the VC. I will keep this 182RG until I have the Corenado version purchased and installed.

Hey, Lionheart - that plane looks superb! Do you think you could send those textures my way?

If I remember right, Bruce Thorsen did a hack job on the FS2002 182 RG to add the 182S VC to it. Not perfectly accurate but it was useable.
Don't remember if it's uploaded at flightsim.com or was just at avsim.

The Carenado RG is a nice bird though & well worth the coin if you decide to go that route.
