When I first saw it Poland immediately popped into my head, but trolling has gotten me nowhere

It's an obscure Italian, just not a Meridionali. This one-off was built for recon duty.

Note the ramp with the grass growing through the cracks. We have seen this particular spot before...

Well, I'm stumped. When googling 'Italian aircraft manufacturers who couldn't afford weedkiller' I came up with Caproni/Bergamaschi, but beyond that, zilch.

Just to add my feeble voice to this illustrious choir....this lady bears a very very vague resemblance to Breda aircrafts of same age (end twenties/beginning thirties) for instance to Breda A7.
Might Breda be the elusive manufacturer?

Please see the above to substantiate DHC2Pilot's thread.
It reads translated in crude English:
"This CA127 was manufactured as evolution of CA97 for recce purposes; just one prototype was built. It was built following Caproni's purchase of Monospar production rights."
To sum it up a big mess because Wiki's pic of CA127 is quite different from the above.
The final question is: who is right?

If this is the CA.127, it certainly looks nothing like the single engined CA.97, and even less like the 3-engine CA.97. Personally I don't think the mystery 127 could possibly be an 'evolution' of it. Wiki's 127 looks somewhat like the 97 except for the tapered wing, landing gear strut arrangement, and the shape of the stab. And all the while Kevin is sitting at his desk, in hand, laughing at our futile attempts to put a name to this enigma.

Baragouin- Thanks for the link. The photo I had came from Aeroplani Caproni by Apostolo, Abate & Alegi.

The wiki entry is showing the Ca.146, not the 127!
