    Levy-Biche LB 4 Picture

    Dear Forum

I just joined and was looking through it starting current working backwards. Saw someone posted a 3 view of the Levy-Biche LB 4 and no one came up with a picture of it. I have a picture sorry for the bad quality the computer I have a better copy on is broken using a newer machine and had to copy a PDF file picture. So there are pictures of it out there. Forum posting #9192 dated March 10th, 2014 on p368
I've been a member of another forum like this thread. I was nice to see many pictures of aircraft that I had not seen before.

    Sincerely

    Chris

Good morning Chris and good to see you joining the club!
I was the person who posted the three view of the Levy-Biche 4 and I'm indeed very indebted to you for posting a real pic of this elusive Aircraft which I was unable to track within the net in spite of my efforts....
    Cheers

Lefty is of course correct on the turncoat Fiat. Wonder if the pilots had a time getting used to the cockpit?

    Also, welcome Chris to SOH.

Yes, good to see you here, Chris.

    Try this wee prewar pusher...

This is a SFAN (French) motorglider...I'm not sure whether it is SFAN I or SFAN II because the two are practically identical...

Having looked it up in Wiki, it would not have helped as it doesn't have a photo, although the description might have led me to believe that was the one!

Something strange happened Moses! At first I couldn't see your pic however after some fumbling I managed to get it and surprise, surprise the pic did appear with appended an exhaustive article concerning your T tail tourer which I didn't know at all: according to said article it is a private venture christened Melmoth built 1973 if I remember correctly.
Obviously I want no credit for it therefore I suggest you log in a new post with a new mysterious Flying machine!
    Cheers
    BG
PS BTW the appended article which I read thoroughly is quite interesting and at times humorous!

Having no issues here. Maybe ickie tripped over the plug earlier?

It is the Melmoth BG so I guess it's open house then.

Designers are known for another slightly more conventional aircraft.

He was one of the team who produced the Ercoupe - now that should make it very easy!

This a version of the Weick W-1-A? Maybe the one passed on to Fairchild for further testing? The fuselage looks to be completely redesigned though.

Edit: Keith, I found a series of photos that included the one you posted and correct me if I am wrong, but I think your version is a scale model?

    http://crgis.ndc.nasa.gov/historic/Weick_W-1

If you look at the photos closely, something seems "off" to me. Thoughts?

Yes that is where I found the pictures in the 3rd row down, but now you come to mention it, on a closer look the concrete & the grass looks more coarse & larger than the other photos of the usual photos of that nomenclature. Sorry If I've mislead you!

Moses as you were the first to notice my blunder - your turn please.

    Keith
