So it failed as a car and failed as an aircraft too. Better off as beer cans maybe (although they'd probably leak!)

If you look carefully, you will see a big 'G' on the wing. (Always remove clues when devious Scotsmen are around)

    This is the Henderson-Glenny Gadfly.

I thought also that you might spot the Brooklands race track in the background too - thats more difficult to hide!
Anyway thats the one - a wee dram for you; & your throw.
    Keith

Thank's for the dram, old boy, I need it to keep warm in this wondrous British 'summer'......

Here's a grainy old girl with an apparent superfluity of struts -

Ran across this one the other day when I was looking for John's biplane. If I can just remember where I saw it...

Looks like a Grover Loening design.

Not to the best of my knowledge, although there was an ultimate connection between the companies.

There was also a twin with similar ironwork..... there, I've given it away.......:mixedsmi:

  23. #7098
"Superfluity" - now there's a word you don't hear every day.

This well strutted lady is the Huff-Daland HD-4 'Bridget', aka the TA-2.

On which subject, I have my name down for one of the new high-speed stair lifts.

That's the one that's so fast, it gets you upstairs before you have forgotten why you were going there..................................
