Was hoping Walter would rescue us from the Frankenstein GA abyss!
Was hoping Walter would rescue us from the Frankenstein GA abyss!
As expected Wout strikes the knockout punch Over to you sir.
I first need to earn the right to post a small one again so a slightly bigger twin this time.
Is it an Ayres 7000 (Let L-610) or is this a wee trap, Walter ??
Hi Mike :salute:
Indeed the Let 610, masquerading as the Ayres 7000
Your turn please.
Something from a earlier era. Very limited production but from a famous manufacturer.
I should really tell you that the logo on the wings is a bit misleading - this machine does not come from an Anglophone country ! Think fighters....
(I'm also curious about the chap on the left with the invisible bicycle..........)
The tail and wings have a Bleriot-Spad feel, the cowling does not. Bit of a tweener here.
SPAD S-30Bis with a le Rhone 80 hp engine?
Intel i9-13900 Raptor Lake , Be Quiet! Dark rock slim cooler, 32 Gb Corsair DDR5 RAM, MSI Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, Asus RTX 4060Ti 16Gb, Thermaltake 1050 Watt PSU, Windows 11 64-bit 1 m2, 4 SSD, 2 HDD.
You're all there or thereabouts, but it is the SPAD 52, F-AEED, derived from the 29, or 34, whichever tome you read !
How about an Open House for you three ?
Will toss one in since no one has spoken up. You can't clearly see it but this airliner has a prop in the front!
Latecoere L.16
Thanks Kevin....
A nice generic biplane for the masses to ponder
First flight 1915
Been looking but no hits yet. Most of it looks German to me except that tail...
Where is Dave Kent these days? He is usually spot on with these types.
There is a definate connection to Germany, but this one was born elsewhere. Argus up front
A Swiss miss - the Wild WT-1 ?
That's the one Mike. (one is for me....blargh it's hot outside).
I rather like this machine -
39T ? An incomplete designation, sir, and your accompanying pdf illustrates the 393T powered by Gnome-Rhone motors.
This is actually the sole 392, F-AMOD, with Hispano-Suiza engines, and I assumed a trimotor buff would have sussed this right away -
But as a magnanimous sort of chap, I will have a chilled Dryboroughs winging its way to you asap.
Phew, tough crowd.
You must have more accurate source material. I never could get a real clear picture of all the 390 series. Nice photo btw!
Here is one I'm not 100% sure of the designation. Lets see what you all come up with...
