I'm hearing crickets....time to reveal??
John, on behalf of Kevin and myself (he is a little preoccupied at the moment).......
Okay, that beast was a Cessna CPW-6 (a specially modified CW-6) for endurance racing.
Here we go.....
That Sir is the Ford Executive of 1927.
That Cessna sure didn't look like a Cessna!

Ford Exec. it is! As for the Cessna, when I saw it I couldn't believe it either, but I knew it'd be a good candidate for a mystery
.
Yes those are Gipsy engines...
Please press on if you know this little cruiser. Will be in and out tomorrow.

Wow, no guesses? Though this one would be gone in a flash. Six built for airline duty.

A dragon, but I couldn't find what are theses engines...
fasm- not a Dragon. Better go ahead and reveal. This is it's close cousin, a Breda Ba.44.

AHhh of course, from this view it is less similar... but the front view was an easy trap (for me)

The profile shows why he's design (at least) wasn't as successful as the dragon .
Here is something on water...

I have a description of a Romanian flying boat called Stoika which fits this very closely, but can't find a picture.......
The originals are not romanian but not that far away.
But this one have been built by a major country for tests I presume...
I think it is probably Italian but can't track it down.
There was a lot of copying going on, and Macchis, Donnet-Denhauts, Loehners etc all looked very similar.
This one, however, has a very distinctive strutting arrangement, which is where my mysterious Romanian comes in. Have a read of this and you will see the only differing point is the unbalanced v balanced rudder. Fascinating. Maybe Mr Stoika defected to Italy !
Yes, very close but not Italian. It's not a country that famous for their flying boats... But at this period they sure knows how to build planes...
