Ag plane huh? I had been looking more in the direction of a STOL/bush one-off.

    Edit: General Model 11?

  2. #6877
That's the one Kevin. Over to you.

  3. #6878
Never would have found it without your Ranger hint.

    Splash goes the torpedo...

  4. #6879
A floater for Lefty ! Thanks Kevin. This is the Wight Twin. Probably No 1450.

  5. #6880
Knew you would be on top of it. The Wight it is.

  6. #6881
Yes, apparently the Wight could carry either a torpedo or a full fuel load, but, er, not both at the same time ! One of our wee failures.

Here's a much smaller water beastie....

Well equipped with a nice hot exhaust pipe to burn your head on while getting out of the airplane. Those designers thought of EVERYTHING. :mixedsmi:

  13. #6888
Only one was built. I guess too many passengers complained about the hot exhaust.

That front on view is tough. Something German or Italian methinks.

  18. #6893
Yes, I've been working on this one too, and so far have done a lot of eliminating !

Not, I think, British, French, German, or American. Can't find a Japanese likeness, and can't even pin down that engine.

Am I seeing a gap between fuselage and lower wing ??

  19. #6894
The nation has been mentioned. The machine was produced in considerbale numbers (sort of).

Breda Ba.25I? Found a photo that matches well but the engine has a cowl ring.

Edit: I think I have your ship.

From the land of watches, chocolate and lethal pocket knives indeed. for Lefty

Here's another of those draughty (or drafty, if you're of that persuasion) floaters. H.54 will not help you much, I fear.

Off to beddybyes now so press on if entitled......
