Oh my...
Yes, those are flaps on the blades!

This is too obvious. The earliest police observation helicopter - the Keystone cops are in the second car on the right......
One built. It managed a short hop before fading into history. The designer built a second model that was even more arcane.
No photo at Aerofiles (if the site is up).
With Aerofiles down currently, there is not much out there on this Keystone chopper. This is the Newbauer Strato Gyro.
How about a nice easy twin to right the ship?
I really thought this one was going to last an hour at best. Another view.
This is the Caproni Ca.102.
Edit: Declaring open board here-
Well you scored a direct with with the Caproni there - was nowhere even close.....
I don't have one lined up at the moment - anybody ????
I was busy looking for Kevin's twin boom pusher (which he has since removed) - here's one....
The French like their parasols. This is the Bourgois-Senemaud AT 40.
Thanks John.
Will pin the boomer back up-
Stinson (Convair) Model 106 Skycoach?
Will appreciate two answers. 1) what is it and 2) what was/were the original plane.

Walter, you left the fatal clue - the reg in the bottom left-hand corner. Unscrupulous old b*****s like me just can't resist looking 'em up, and the whole ID fell into my lap.
Otherwise I would not have a clue......
