Well a Mr Miller (I believe that is also the name of a brand of what Americans call 'beer') designed a shrouded-prop zoomer in the 70's. Maybe he did a flying boat too ? Can't find any record myself but, then again, I don't have the Wout vaults at my disposal !

Hi Mike, Indeed a Miller although a different Mr. Miller then the pusher job you mentioned (which was by James Miller). This Model B by Mr. Russell Miller many stock and automotive parts and had a Chevy V8 engine. I think it still exists (reg. N3RM)
    Here`s a Bavaria for you

Don't really deserve that, but father taught me never to refuse a free drink..............

Gentlemen, we are experiencing an infestation of backyard specials in this thread.

    Here's a proper floater........

  4. #3729
Grover Loening has to be involved here somewhere...

Obviously, you're both very much in the right area.

But I want the name, please........

  8. #3733
Attachment 12855This must be the Loening Monoduck!

  9. #3734
At last.......yes, it's the delightfully named Monoduck. Monopint for moses.

  10. #3735
The Monoduck is an interesting design. The tail section looks outdated, yet the hull, floats and front end look a little more modern than 1934.

    Here is a sleek one...

    All 4000 of them............

and those 4,000 are only the pre-1945 designs. Courage Mike!

  13. #3738
    Well, it is very distinctive.

  14. #3739
Hmmm, yes, it has an inline engine.......

    A Regnier inline no less...

  16. #3741
Well that goes along with the nearest I got - the wing looks like an SFCA Maillet job, but can't get any further.

  17. #3742
    You are sooo close...

  18. #3743
Let's have a stab at the Maillet Nennig MN-A.

Quick edit - I'm right ! Found a much better pic too in one of my books.

  19. #3744
Quick one to keep the pusher fans happy. Better grab it before Moses does..

    one-of-a-kind, although there were bros/sisters.

  23. #3748
Gosh, that's another one that looks as though it's been assembled from the parts bin.

Mike, it is quite standard, except for the control room area.
