Um, it's a trainer... Probably made in Brazil or Jugoslavia or one of those exotic nations that sometimes punch above their weight in aircraft production.
Sorry, Mike; haven't forgotten you. Time was when I worked in huge libraries with complete runs of Jane's down in the deep dark stacks. I could spend tea and lunch breaks picking off mysteries! Now the library's like the one in the Simpsons: full of nothing but free internet access and the Yuh-Gi-Oh Price Guide...![]()
...But still looking in when possible!![]()

Where, oh where, are those libraries full of Janes, Ralf ?????
PS This trainer comes from a BIG country.....
Haven't had much time to research the past few days. We are working up a race event over in the mutiplayer forum that is eating up all my free time. That said, this one looks USA all the way but that's all I got!

Well done Rob, the Fleetwings escaped our monoplane lover !
Have a great trip to Montreal - would ask you to say hello to my cousin but I believe she has a new boyfriend![]()
I had a look through some Fleetwings stuff but must have missed it.

Looks like the North American XA2J-1.

Here's an unusual shot, but one of the few of any decent quality

Found this shot which looks like from the same session as Rob's photo.
Moving along, here is a rugged monoplane floater-

oh sure.. one wing, turboprops and tin skin.. so he gets it... but then I decided I'd have some compassion
3.2
The new one looks like something he and Willy cobbled together in the dark reaches of the Amazon

3.2 beer? Dang, tough crowd. I see I will have to track down a copy of Putnam's Canadian aircraft to have full access to the bar.

Will someone explain to me what a 3.2 beer is, please ? If that is S.G., it is pretty watery stuff.
Here, 3.8 or so is considered a 'session ale' - the heavy stuff starts at 4.5 - 5.5 or upwards. Session ale is fine for me, but then I really prefer a good traditional cider.
Do they make proper cider in Canada, Rob ??
Meantime, on with Moses' Fairchild/Fokker clone - nothing so far. Markings look French, but that is maybe a red herring......
This snippet sums up what I know about 3.2 beer:
"Low-point beer, which is often called “three-two beer” or “3 point 2 brew,” is beer that contains 3.2% alcohol by weight.
The term “low-point beer” is unique to the USA, where some states limit the sale of beer, but beers of this type are also available in countries (such as Sweden and Finland) that tax or otherwise regulate beer according to its alcohol content.
The states of Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Utah permit general establishments such as supermarket chains and convenience stores to sell only low-point beer. In these states, all alcoholic beverages containing more than 3.2% alcohol by weight must be sold from state-licensed liquor stores. Oklahoma additionally requires that any beverage containing more than 3.2% must be sold at normal room temperature."
I remember the kids over in Oklahoma always complaining about it growing up.![]()
