Don't know where to start on this except that it looks a US design, but note the modern buildings & PAPI's on the runway, the unusual blown windscreen & canopies & quality of the colour picture. Is it a museum piece rebuild & a 'one off' without a Prototype marking?
    Intriguing.

Well, the Aircraft of this splendid pic is (or was) a Northrop N3PB obviously of US origin but used mostly in the UK and Norway.
However whether this is a replica or a restoration it is not for me to say!
    Cheers.....
    BG

"U (cn 320) Photographed in front of Hangar 4 at Reykjavík where it was displayed for a week on its way from Northrop in Hawthorne, California where it was beautifully restored to a pristine condition by veteran employees of Northrop. Many of them had worked on the N-3PB when all 24 were built for Norway in 1940-41. "

It's an A 21 (woops -THE A21) - but I had it as an A 29 too until you corrected Moses ! Please would our Texan friend continue - I am currently glued to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow which is proving to be a great competition in all disciplines - swim, athletics, etc and rugby sevens too. New Zealand v South Africa about to come up in the final - should be a killer.......

I'm not sure but it reminds me of a Rheinland FR.2 "Schwalbe" with oversized spatted wheels.....
    BG

  24. #9674
Not a Rheinland. To be fair, most photos of this plane are without the oversized pants.

    I think I have it: Caproni Ca113....
    BG
PS I have a different story than Luftarchiv: it isn't a real "Beuteflugzeug" but on the contrary it was tried in 1936 in Essen (during the honeymoon Mussolini/Hitler) and given a german registration D-IVOL. Whether it was later interned or impounded thus becoming a "Beuteflugzeug" I don't know!
