    Hi PH
Seems this one was not built for speed.

    Hi Kevin
She is, although I did not know she was from California. How are you coping with the temps. I guess liquids are a major part of the remidy?

I keep threatening to move the family north where it snows most of the year. I thrive in the cold weather.

Here is a French bird to consider.

This svelte Gallic beauty is the S.N.C.A.C. NC.470, sans flotteurs.....
    here's a nicer pic -

Easy pickings for the Scotsman! The grounded 470 it is.
(On a portable device so no beer icon handy).

Having survived Microsoft's latest attempt to render my PC unusable (version 1607), I can, hopefully, post again.

Here is a floater which has been posted before, but a wee while ago......

Moses, of course, has this one, but is being typically modest. Designed in his homeland (not in Texas!) by one of the godfathers of American floaters. A one-off with a Wright motor.

Looks like there are no takers Mike. This is the Loening Monoduck from 1934. A really neat floater that sort of fell into the cracks of aviation history.

I wonder what the paint scheme was. Maybe red on white?

Or maybe navy blue.... anyway, she sounds like something written by Hans Christian Andersen - the lonely monoduck.....over to Texas (an extra cooler)

Where did you pull that photo from Mike? Can't find a darn thing on the net about it other than the short Aerofiles entry.

    Moving along with a gunship...

This was an early 1930's export variant from a well known American company.

    Hello boys and girls!
You are all aware of my ignorance of US crafts this time I want to try my luck with a Vought V99 produced in 1937 for Mexico
    Cheers
    BG

Not a Vought BG but you are correct on the Mexican Air Force. This company's best known design might be a rather large twin-tail bomber...

  16. #13266
I suppose it could be the Consolidated PT-12 known as the Model 21-M in Mexican service.

We are seeing it. Just having a tough time figuring it out!

  23. #13273
Copy that. Looks European - maybe a Walter motor ? Also has a Panderish feel about it.

All of this means it's probably from California.......

What do you mean by "Also has a Panderish feel about it" ?
