US engines that rotate LH Tractor? Thats what threw me was the props, although the airframe looked familiar & it seemed too easy!
    Keith

    (edit)
Just looking at abpic & the photo presented by BG looks just like CF_BXO that was rescued & now lives in Hendon Museum - but - the interesting thing is that in the 1969 photos the props are LH tractor, in the museum shots they are RH tractor!

    Hi Moses!
unfortunately I have to declare OH as something unforeseen has cropped up at home...however I'll catch up with you for sure later in the week.
    Sorry about that...

Keith- not sure about the Stranraer engines but I believe you are correct about the museum piece.

No worries BG. Here is a favorite of mine to move things along. Just not sure about that large fuel tank on top!

Jumping in where angels fear to tread - Airspeed Ferry? A special designed for Sir Alan Cobham I believe.

As for the Stranraer - Wiki says originally fitted with Pegasii (?), but Canadian company Queen Charlotte Airlines fitted them with Wright 1820's in the late 40's.

You are quite correct - well done.
Now to see if I can trace a 3 potted parasol......

John is back with one of his dang parasols!

60hp Lawrance up front. One-off - it's in Aerofiles, but without a picture.

For me Wiki has not come up with much on Lawrence engines, & no pictures of that aircraft found so far.

Kind of figured this one would go unanswered. Rupe R-6 Mate, 1934 from the cornfields of Indiana. Lots of good stuff in Flying Magazine's online archive going back to the 20's. Filled in some missing photos over the course of the last couple weeks. Anyhow, we'll do something a bit more mainstream and drop the parasol theme for Kevin's sake.

Not just Kevin, John. There are almost as many identical parasols as there are identical wee racers......

This one, of course , is the CEA-309 Mehari from

That's the one Mike.... All yours.

Thanks John - quite a bit of detective work there, as I am certainly no expert on racers.

Believe it or not, what clinched it was the small logo on the prop blade - 'MT Propeller' Looked up their website, and tucked away was the wee Brazilian !

    This one had several incarnations....

    This the Atlas PCC-10?

  18. #9818
Yes, it's the Atlas, although whether it had become the H-10 by this stage seems to be a matter for conjecture ! This airframe hung on in there with a bewildering variety of powerplants for about 50 years !

Walter, do you know if it is still around ??? Over to Texas......

  19. #9819
Here is a distinct little tourer.

  20. #9820
    Thought it was a Poite

    But it's not.

    It's a Bodiansky ! (numero 20)

  21. #9821
Spot on Mike (and without any hints). Does have a Poite-ish looking tail.

    Over to the lowlands.
