Yes it is a modified SE5A, but was given a model number by Dudley Watt - the DW1. It was at Brooklands about 1929 & my father was part of the team. Believe two built/modified. This registration G-EBOG.

Nice one, Keith - found a reference to it - Watt tired of it as the 300hp Hispano-Suiza couldn't give him enough performance ! He seems to have been a bit of a nutter - wrote off a plane after flying it 200 yards from the hangar to the fuel pump rather than taxiing !
They don't make 'em like that any more.......over to Dave, methinks.
One certainly gets the impression that he was a bit of a dare devil from the Flight write ups of the Bournemouth air races. He was also a Skywriter trailing smoke for advertising....

Here is one to ponder while we wait on Dave to resurface.
Senior Gonzalo is pointing out where the wing root should be...

Sorry for the delay guys!!
Dave, with great respect, these would be a lot harder if the answer wasn't actually displayed on the photo !
We'll let you post another - in the meantime, I'm still struggling with Moses' 'flying' (??) tuna !
sorry, colour blind, didn't see it
Please give this one a try
Gentlemen?
I have been working on it. Found several close calls but no exact match. Do you have a bigger photo? The empennage looks like a biplane setup.
