No. The designer was actually born in Austria. Trainer, production in double figures. One survives.

It's the Sparman type S1A, 1935, produced for the Swedish army, but don't know much more, except that I should have seen it a long time ago in Linkoping, the Swedish museum where he's resting.
10 produced yes, more info here : http://www.avrosys.nu/aircraft/skol/461p1/461P1.htm

I proceed with a nice little floater

No biggie fasm. Just glad I got to the Nordflug before you did!
Happy 2011 to all. Hope the New Year is a good one.

Onward and upward. Here is the last oddball pusher of 2010 perhaps? Sorry about the bad photo. All I can scare up on it.

Kevin, I think your floater might be the Clinger CL-1 from 1934. If correct, OH please.

    I think you're spot-on with the Clinger, John, but I don't think it's a floater !

Happy New Year to all - a very quiet Hogmanay by Scottish standards but managed a dram or two.

Spot on with the Clinger John.

Edit: Just noticed it was OH again. Okay, try this funky ship. It did fly!

Correct - the first cursory glance put the word floater in my head for some reason.

The latest mystery would be the Richter Ric-Jet 4.

Yep....rolling downhill towards a crash no doubt. Here's the next one. I've included a 3-view as well since the one in the pic is covered partially with a snow/ice tarp.

One of those with several names methinks. How about a TsAGI Steel-MAI Monoplane?
