One without engines, also known as glider! It was used in the development of a powered aircraft.

Lefty bingo!. This thing was indeed used to test the skid undercarriage of the SE-5000.

You are the captain for the next flight

Stillcan't find a reference to that glider anywhere - just that the skid looked the same, cockpit too.

I feel in a naughty mood. A wee cheat here........

The tail portion gave it away as it looks like it's smaller Sibling, the Courier. The engine arrangement looks like the Dornier Skyservant though. The Twin Stallion was designed around two turboprops according to my source but the engine housings in your photo look more like they hold a flat four or six engine.

    Here's an early jet:

These look very much like Walter engines - I suspect it is another Transylvanian horror from the Moses dungeons.

How about Radu Manicatide's MR-2 ? There seems to be something very similar in the shape of the I.A.R. 814, maybe you can enlighten us as to the connection ???

According to the Romanian Wikipedia it seems he designed both aircraft, the MR-2 being derived from the IAR 814.
