NP Wout. The avatars, attachments, uploading and other issues are due to the server crash. Ickie is doing his best to reload everything as was before. It will take a couple of days to get it all ironed out.

BTW- Nice story and photos on the Aerocar here:

    Will press on here.

This next one was originally designed as a military twin trainer.

    R.W.D.- 11 from Poland.

According to my sources, this was designed from the outset as a fast feederliner ??

    Correct on the RWD.

The first version with the single tail was developed as a civil liner. The 2nd version with the twin fins had military possibilities and it was the outbreak of war in Poland that ended the development (from what I understand).

Jerzy Cynk (Polish Aircraft) puts a different spin on it - ithe RWD 11 was intended for the airline Lot, who refused to show any interest, the Ministry of Transport wanting the order to go to PZL, so that the DWL/RWD company would fail.

It was eventually used as a company hack but ended up wearing black crosses, surprise, surprise !

to the Texas Oracle. (odd things happening to the smilies - it is a mystery how this forum survived intact, avatars, post count, etc. etc. Will never understand the weird world of computing.)

Come on, Kevin, we know you have something in the vaults with which to intimidate us !

Ouch ! It feels European, has French vibes, but I'm struggling a bit.

    Thanks, Kevin.

We've had a few twin commercials recently - here's another one.
