Thread: The Grizz is out!!

  1. #1

    Hello!

    Milton's Griz is up!
Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand, I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back.

Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me...

I see an FS2002 & FS2004 version so far, is there one for FSX coming? Don't mean to sound greedy. If need be, I can use the FS2004 version for FSX.
    Cheers,
    Dave

Sorry that I cannot accommodate with an FSX version. My 7-year old computer barely gets me through the FS2004 stuff.

I also doubt it would make a good port over as it is texture heavy and not optimized in any way toward a smooth FSX.

I will make the gmax source available for anyone wishing to convert it, but that is no trivial task.

    Milton,

I don't know if you've just worked yourself out of a position, but the D18 will not get much flight time now.... Poor girl... :d

However, I've noticed that the engine start switches off on right panels aren't quite working. I can only start engine 2 with the switches, and I can't turn on engine 1's generator.

Just a little post-release testing. :ernae:

Hey Brian, I think the game warden might have something to say about the size of the ammo you're huntin' with!:isadizzy:

    I...LIKE...IT!!!!!:ernae:
Very well behaved; three-points very well. That can-opener in front really helps me line up on final approach. Kind of glad the fuel flow meters are hidden off to the right...kind of disheartening seeing how much virtual go-juice this bird goes through in cruise. Airspeed indicator gets a little wonky especially at slow speeds sometimes but it's definitely a keeper. Wouldn't change it for anything.
Thank you very much Mr Shupe and Team!

It has all the bits, enough even to keep the foot fetish alive...(see top right)

Many thanks Milton and company, for keeping FS9 alive and interesting!

    Thanks everyone.

There are a few gauge anomalies that will get corrected. Unfortunately, Scott had to leave early for the weekend but has promised to repair the ones we are aware of, and as mentioned here. I considered them minor enough to release now rather than wait another week or two.

I have put up a website and will post there as well once corrections are completed.

This is an outstanding mode inside and out!

Is anyone else having a deep frame rate hit in the VC? Mine drop to 4-6FPS in VC mode and 10FPS in the 2D mode. Outside FPS is normal. If I set my view about the cockpit over the dash with the gauges out of view, the FPS goes up to 12-16 FPS.

    Hey deathfromafar!

I experience none of the problems you mention! But Milton himself said in a previous post that some of the xml gauges will be changed in the near future. maybe that is the cause?

But again, none of those problems on my rig!

Yeah, that could be the issue, Is rare to have a VC drag like this on FPS. I have many highly detailed VC models in use with on a couple here & there that cause an issue. I can say it is worse when the gauges & cockpit detail are in view. Looking out above the dashboard or out the side the frame rates are normal.
