Any decent weather effects for FSX?

Ive mostly flown in clear skies or fair weather or even coldfronts ... but it just dawned upon me that something is amiss with FSX weather effects.

Winter wonderland is a blizzard!, in fact all snowy weather is blizzards and the runway is wet!
And also there is no rain effects of glass being rained on in the VC!

Are there any addons or ways to fix this crazyness? because it kind of kills a bit of the immersion flying in various weather conditions.

It is my understanding (don't have FSx myself) that ACES in their infinite wisdom neglected to include the VC rain textures from FS9 in FSx. If you can get a copy of these bitmaps, it will work in those planes that utilize VC rain (not all do; it is built into the model itself.)

Try real world weather with a good weather textures add on like FEX or REX or ASX(graphics) ...

Get Real Sky and wait for September, get one of the Hurricane Hunter´s airplanes, wait for the first storm to pick up and go get into it....as it becomes a hurricane you will see it all and fly in it if you dare!!!!!

I wasn't really thinking of major weather as such(got REX btw) But more like something that fixes existing weather effects. I.e no shiny soaking wet runways in a midwinter snowstorm, and no massive raning/blizzard like snowflakes when its supposed to be snowing lightly etc.

snow can be controlled via the slider in the weather bit, same with rain, but if your useing a 3rd party weather engine then its all controlled with that and not by FSX as for wet runways, thats hardcoded so nothing can be done about that.

yes i know i cant spell half the time! Thank you kindly to those few who pointed that out

Only problem is no matter what weather setting i use it always looks like a blizzard like in winter wonderland.
While winter wonderland looked just fine in FS9.
