Older models don`t have a light entry in the model.

Without, the sim does not know what to do with your light-entry in the aircraft.cfg.

This actually only defines the name of the effect and the place were it should appear.

To add light to older models, you will have to rebuild the model to give it the light coding...and to do that you will need the source code and the know how to do 3d modeling, animation and mdl exportation.
