Thumbs up A "hell" of a good job!

    AGAS5,

Thank you for an OUTSTANDING skin set for Wolfi's Helldiver! I love the choice of a "clean" or "dirty" skin.

    Very well done, sir!

The Lexington after the CV2 was CV16. Should it be VB-16? It is nice!

Has to be a "typ-o", ...VB-9 was aboard the LadyII w/ SB2c-4's as of 03FEB45...

...just in time for a quick trip to the Nakajima A/C factory NW of Tokyo, ...then on to Iwo Jima...

    Sweet skin.

    Thanks A.

    Thumbs up

hmmm or a case of dyslexia on my part :woot:

My reference has it as " SB2C-3 white of VB-9, USS Lexington, 2 March 1945 "

    Sorry about that guys....

Thanks for the kind comments and sorry for the delay - it was on my hard drive for far too long :faint:

    Pete

p.s. I can't give a time line due to work stuff, but the others aren't to far away.... and I scrapped the ASW version because it's already been done.

You are correct Pete, ...VB 9 got their -4's when they transferred to the Yorktown ~ 06Mar45...

...that would make it a -3.

Thanks again for the sweet skin, ...and am lookin' forward to the next batch.

The only operational dive bombers in march 1942 where the dauntless and vindicator, the helldiver only appeared after the massive buildup took place, essex carriers hellcats etc etc. Surprised the librarian uploads without questioning an error so flagrant,

:spider:We don't have a librarian. We have a volunteer who checks the files for correct submission format. He does not check the descriptions for historical date references. Judas Priests! What fracking planet are you from? :costumes::costumes:

The Helldiver first saw combat November 1943 from the Bunker Hill while attacking Rabual.During the Marianas ( June 1944 ) Enterprise and Lexington still had the Dauntless which were replaced by the Helldiver after the battle.
