    Repaint request Razbam T-2C Buckeye

    Hi everyone,

I would like to make a repaint request for the Razbam T-2C in the colors of NAS Kingsville from the 1970s and 80s.

    Thanks,

I had not looked at the paintkit before. I always liked the Guppy and bought it on super-sale for $10.00 but had not uploaded it until last night. The paintkit is really user-friendly and I don't see any problem at all. Today I am busy all day but should have a chance tomorrow to get at it in earnest.

I am setting up at school where I teach today a shared cockpit using FSX, two matched computers and the Carenado C208B. I set it up at home earlier this week and it works perfectly. I have only shared cockpit once before with a friend in Australia so I never got to see both sides side by side. When I have the texture done and uploaded here I wonder if it is possible to "share" the Guppy. Would that be cool or what???

With the exception of the B on the vertical stabilizer I have it completed.

If you know what the font is let me know and I will finish it.

I did several VT squadrons when it was released.

Many may fly and some are rewarded
handsomely, but the wings of gold of a
United States Naval Aviator mean more
than flying. It is dearly bought, requires
sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

3 images of VT-23. B font is not correct yet.
    Running in P3D.

    My Repaintint

I had this done yesterday morning but with the site down could not share it. The "B" on the tail is hand made since I couldn't find any font that matched as is the Safety Award "S" with the two hashmarks for the 2 subsequent awards. I am working on finisheing a really cool T2B i found while searching for other photos of the "Guppy" in VT-23.

That's so often the case. Clearly Aircraft painters paint their letters without necessarily having a defined font for it....and so do we when we try to replicate them, ending up also doing it 'by hand'...

    T2B Buckeye 155226 VT23

Here is my afternoon's work on I think a really cool example texture I found online. It is currently civilian owned and flying which is also cool, not many left that are not gate guards or waiting for the scrap. Sooo SAD!

    Here Is the Third Style

Here is my afternoon's work today. I download a lot of photos but although the serials are different between them there are only 3 basic styles: two above and this one.

Thanks. The Razbam paint kit is awesome to work with. The nicest one that I have ever worked with. It is also Corel Paintshop Pro friendly even though it is in Photoshop format. I found out how to save it in that format in PSP too.

Guppy Repaints available in the Warbirds library

I have uploaded all three of my textures for the RAZBAM T2 Buckeye models B and C to the Warbirds Library in FSX Skins Vietnam. 325 was loaded last night and is already there and by the time ya'all read this the other 2 should be available as well. enjoy. I hope that some of you guys who download with start a new thread for posting shots of your FCLP and CarQuals in the "Guppy" I know that I will be. Gotta go into storage and get my Saitek X52 out and connect it along with uploading NAS Meridian (NAS Kingsville is not vLSO qualified yet) MS to start re-training. Its been a few years since I flew with the vCVW3 guys. Looking forward to doing traps again in the "Guppy" If any of you "Guppy" pilots wanna connect in FSX Multiplayer "PM" me to see if we got the same times free to fly. As a sidenote, when I was creating these repaints I created a basic no registration/callsign number texture that can be repainted for other aircraft so that if you DO want to do multiplayer we all won't have the same VT-23 aircraft. I have shots of 331, 340 and a few more real "birds".

Two New Repaints In The Library and NAS Kingsville Scenery

I have uploaded and the Library has approved the other two textures for the VT-23 Buckeyes. This afternoon I also downloaded the MAIW T45 Goshawk with NAS Kingsville scenery package. In order to use it in FSX you also have to download and install the MAIW Global Scenery Package for FSX. I put the installation of the T45 pkg into a separate folder not FSX so that I could decide what I wanted to install and not install which worked out perfectly. NAS Kingsville looks great in FSX with no problems. I downloaded the freeware T2C from Flyaway Simulation and intend to use it for AI and replace the T45 in the MAIW AI flightplans this week. If it works as I hope, I will share it here for anyone who wants to modify their installation to an earlier time at NAS Kingsville to fly with ai traffic.
