    C-46A Commando "Santa Fe Skyway"

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Civilian prop skins

Description: This texture set is for the freeware California Classics C-46 in FSX and are in 2048x2048 DXT 5 dds.

Santa Fe RR in the late 1940s began a startup Air Freight operation. Lasting only eighteen months, Santa Fe Skyway ranked number 5 in air freight carried among U. S. airlines until the Civil Aviation Board refused their certificate. (something about railroads couldn't fly) Although Santa Fe operated DC-3 and DC-4 aircraft, this is to represent what a Santa Fe C-46 Commando might have looked like had they been able to stay aloft.

It's a shame no one has taken the challenge to re-do this classic to the Manfred Jahn quality of the C-47. It looks ok on the outside but the VC makes ny eyes bleed. I never fly this one in the sim.
Nice job on the repaint though!
