    Monitors/Screens: What's good for FS?

I'm starting to put together (physically assemble) my new system and I'm going to need a new monitor for it. I know I want an IPS monitor for the colors and viewing range. My question is, do I need G-Sync or a 144 Hz monitor? I know it helps if you're playing various games with a lot of fast action, but I don't think it is necessary for FSX or P3D. What do you FS system gurus think?

Here's my new system for ref:
    CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
    MB: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
    Mem: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
    HD's: OS on (1) Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
    (2) Samsung 850 Pro Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
VC: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Founders Edition Video Card
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case
PS: Corsair 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
    OD: LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit

Yes, G-sync is very nice for P3D. For FSX I didn't notice any impact but in P3Dv3 yes, that's true and it reduces stutter a lot.

If you have to make an investment anyway, did you consider the Oculus Rift VR. It is flightsim heaven; you feel like you are actually inside the aircraft. I have flown professional simulators with a cockpit and a huge screen in front, but I prefer the Rift.<o></o>
