    Baldy et al,

I finally got a chance to test this aircraft, and I love it! However, I cannot find the weapons. Can someone please help me?

    Thanks in advance,

    P.!!c bombs

    Hi Rami

they're from Aerocrete's website or via No Dice's Free Flight site - however on checking this morning the site and links appear to be down - would there be any objection to me posting them as an attachment ? this problem also applies to the Breguet Br270 loadout

Okaaaay...that explains the P11 dp boxes now. You borrowed the dp from the Breguet! When i first installed it and opened the dp for examination, i had a "what the what?" moment (LOL) as i stared at the layout of the boxes. So i took the dp from the 1% P11 and after some adjustments made it fit. I really like this model. Having a lot of fun whipping it around the virtual skies. Tweaked the air files and the panel a bit for my taste. Here's the panel below.

I'm really curious about the original bright orange (or red) G-meter gauge in the top left in this package as well as Stockplane's version. After looking at several close up pics around the web of the P11 instrument panel and comparing this gauge with the similarities in the Japanese Ki-44 manifold pressure gauge, i'm not convinced the original instrument was a G-meter. Can anyone confirm this?

    Panel

that's the problem with panels that use gauges in an unfamiliar language - I find lots of problems when trying to produce a reasonable panel and I very often don't succeed.

Copy that...had the same problem in researching it. That's why i'm asking here. Can't make out the language i see in the RW panel close ups. I dismissed the idea of the G-meter because of the real aircraft's historical 7.5g corner speed at 180 mph. The max limit showing on the defo G-meter gauge was about 4g, so that didn't line up with the historical capability of the plane. But the '4' would make sense if you read it as a max of 40 inches of MP. That's when i went poking around in my collections and found the similar-looking Ki-44 MP gauge. Now if i could just find an easy way to paint the whole face orange-red...LOL

gau2bmp will do it, just rename your "new" gauge before you modify the bmp

Thanks, a handy little tool, but i have better extraction/editing features in FSPS. I was just expressing a moment of laziness.

    Baldy,

Yes, it is! And thanks for all of your hard work representing the Polish Air Force during that period!

    PZL 23b Karas light bomber

    Hi all

As part of our efforts to re-new Polish aircraft for CFS2 UncleTgt and I are launching an all new multi lod model of the PZL 23b Karas. As far as I am aware the only other model of this aircraft is fifteen years old - so let's hope this one stands comparison. I have also created a new set of Polish bombs to arm this a/c ( include in pack )

The readme explains our debt to Eric of AOL and others who produced the original all those years ago.

This aircraft carried out the first bombing raid over German territory after the German invasion of Poland. I am about to upload today

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Other

Description: Single engine, three seat, light bomber and recce aircraft of Polish Air Force. It was still in front-line service, although obselete, when the Germans invaded on 1st September 1939. When the situation became hopeless many of these a/c were flown by their crews to Romania. The a/c were put to use in the Romanian Air Force. The crews continued the fight by escaping to France then the UK.

    PZL P.7a

When UncleTgt and I posted our PZL P.11c Rami expressed the hope that we might also do the earlier aircraft, the P.7a - well we have and here it is - as usual UncleTgt has done most of the work - I've done the model so I claim all the credit - anyway here she is, I'm uploading now

    hope it meets with approval

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Other

Description: Single engine Polish fighter aircraft of the 1930s. Mainly replaced in front line squadrons by the PZL P.11c, However at the time of the German invasion there were still 30 P.7s forming three fighter squadrons and 70+ others in support units. At the end of the campaign several aircraft escapted to Romania where they were used as trainers.

    Baldy,

Does it meet my approval??? I can't thank you enough for these! I've been saying for years that my biggest regret for Fall Weiss and Poland 1939 was not having updated Polish aircraft. You've done both main fighter types, as well as the Karas. These are all very nice models, but more importantly, they remain relatively simple and are very FPS-friendly, making them perfect as replacements for the originals.

If you choose to do so, the P-11c can easily be modified into a P-11a...all you'd need to do is slap on the skin from the Fall Weiss version and delete the exposed gun ports on the top wing, because she only had the two grooved on the sides of the fuselage.

If that's all you can do, that's fine...the last two would be a PZL P-37 (K. Malinowski's version is not multi-lod) and the RWD-14/Czapla. Then that's a full replacement!

For the record, the P-11s used the British Mercury for a sound pack, the Karas has a Bristol Pegasus (I included this with my Balkans campaign sets, among others) and the P-7 uses a Bristol Jupiter.

    Polish aircraft

    Hi Rami,

Glad you like our efforts - couple of things - is there a Bristol Pegasus sound pack ? couldn't find one when doing the model - is there a Bristol Jupiter sound ?

As to P.11a - simple to delete wing guns but texture would have to wait till Uncle gets back from holiday unless there's the right one in his pack.

However I'm a bit busy with this at the moment

this one is not quite so simple but I aim to persevere

    Baldy,

Yes...it used to come with the Alphasim Swordfish years back when the Fairey Swordfish model was still payware. When they became freeware, I don't think they included the sound pack with it, but I figured what the hell, and included it with the Balkans campaign, so you can grab it from that if you need it.

Also, the Handley-Page Hampden has a twin-engined variant of the Pegasus which has one of the best startup sequences I've ever heard. That's also in the SOH library.

As far as a Bristol Jupiter, there is not.

And thank you for the PZL P37!

Update: There is not the appropriate skin for the -11a, so I have no issue waiting. I know UncleTgt is heading out; I'm working closely with he and Devildog73 on something.

    Baldy,

My pleasure. By the way, thanks for the rent-a-wreck version. I used the Romanian skin to remind myself to change it upon general release.

You shouldn't have to do anything else for this (-11a) model. Essentially, the PZL P-11a variant was an up-engined P-7a. There were very minor detail changes between the 11-a and 11-c, including some subtle streamlining and a minor lowering of the engine in the nose to give the pilot a better view. You already covered the latter in the -11c, and frankly, I really doubt that anyone flying her would notice, even a rivet-counter.

The changes are very minute, and really didn't lead to any increase in performance, primarily because the removal of the two .303 machine guns and their ammo make the -11a a little lighter, and thus made their performance about equal.

    Polish aircraft Sept 1939

In the ongoing attempts to update the Polish aircraft in CFS2 I offer two wips - PZL 37a Los and PZL 37b Los

as you can see they're basically the same aircraft with on major difference - the tail unit - the 37a has one fin/rudder - the 37b has two

at present the paint shop is closed for holidays but will resume soon.
