    48 Years Later

    Found a photo of a Braniff Electra on final into Dallas Love Field (KDAL), runway 13L circa 1968.

    What is really neat about this particular shot is that my father used to take us to this exact same spot when I was a kid to watch the planes land. I could have very well been around when this photo was taken. Thought it would be fun to compare the old photo with what it looks like now.



    It was near this spot that I saw my one and only Constellation in flight. (I don't recall any obvious airline markings so it could have been a freighter).

    Note the baby blue Chevy Corvair (67-68?). Fantastic.

    Starts out with the planes and then picks it up again at 2:06 into the clip. The other footage is of the downtown Dallas area where JFK was shot.

    Interesting before and after pics. The approach light towers are smaller. And the car is older... And that 727 laying down a black smoke screen! Good stuff.
