Thanks to tankerguy72 the E-1 now has some proper bottom exhaust ports and oil cooler outlets!

What a great project this has turned into!
A friend of mine is working on a conversion to the actual C-1. They doing a turboprop version. They have an order for 4 right now. Maybe a new model for the sim??? haha

Hi Milton,
I've run into a little bit of a snag. I found the white texture the hard points are mapped to. Unfortunately they are coloring other parts on top of the fuselage that should be Gull Gray. They are the eyebrow window frames, aerial blades on inner wing (or hoist points, not sure), intakes on top of nacelles, wing hinge points, and maybe a few misc. tubes sticking out of the lower fuselage. I'm not sure but think the MAD stinger needs to be a buff color as well. The top of the searchlight housing should be Gull Gray, but I can live with it.
How hard is it to re-map parts? If it's a can-o-worms, no worries. But if possible it would be great to have one texture for the wing hard points, they are all the same. That way I could add some panel lines to them.
Disclaimer: The panels lines are way too dark - only temporary - and no details have been added yet.
Thanks!
This re-creation is making excellent progress!!
Snurdley,
Wow! The detailed work is looking great! Sorry iZ am slow to respond; my Internet service has been out since yesterday at Noon.
Let me look at your request and since you are the first to get on the -3, there are few implications to the changes requested.
I'll get back to you today.
Great progress.
Snurdley,
What parts specifically would you like mapped separately?
There are 1400 parts+ in this aircraft so I tend to "generally map" some of them. :-)
If I map one hardpoint and replicate it, is that satisfactory, or must each be mapped and painted separately with different details?
I can map all the parts you mentioned separately if you send screenshots of each part you want done.
Wow, this project is looking spectacular. A "Bravo Zulu" to all hands involved. Can't wait to do some carrier quals!

Sorry Milton, had to watch my favorite show, 'Flying Wild Alaska'. :mixedsmi: Anyway, If you could map just one hard point and duplicate it that would be great. If you mirror the texture it would be the same on the other side? I've created some pdf documents to try and make sense of all this. The generic gray could be mapped to one color swatch that will be colored Gull Gray and the white could stay mapped to the white1_t texture. The blade aerials on the inner wings are actually dark red in all the photos I've looked at. If any of this is too difficult, please disregard, you've got enough irons in the fire! :salute:
Thank you for the illustrative detail; I appreciate that. I am on it.
EDIT: Okay, I have this pulled up, finally selected out all the parts (I think), and will evaluate current mapping and texture assignments before proceeding.
S2F-3 Updates made as requested.
Check your PM's for a link to the modifications.
Thanks
Thanks for the updated model and textures Milton, it looks great! I did notice that the fairings under the wings and the bottom nacelle cooling flap could be mapped to the white1_t texture also. And if not too much trouble could you revert the searchlight housing back to white as well? I know.... painters = problem children :mixedsmi:
Can the fairings and bottom cooling flap be mapped to the white1_t texture? I'm not sure they are mapped to anything.
No problem :-)
Works great!

Since we are using the same panels for all variants (except the turbos :-), I am trying to sort out what needs to be on that undone blue forward console. Any help appreciated.
