1024 is only 1/16 the number of pixels to represent the 'image' as 4096....so 'detail' is going to be a misnomer.
DDS is about as good as it gets maintaining image-size 'sanity'....
Oh yeah.. appreciate all the above mate.

You mention half pixels.. just how annoying is it when a map is half a pixel out and you can't paint it to put it right!

You sling em out as you see fit mate. I'll catch up with a new graphics card one day

I better add Bjoern's DL link again....as we cycle into a new page....

Well, the 2048 bumps are default anyway, so you don't need to include 'em.

I suggest a separate package for each resolution. The download size for the 2048 version will thus be rather small and more advantageous for users on data plans or slower connections.

Bjoern...yes, I'd figured that separate 2048 res uploads would be the go, rather than bundling them with the high-res ...

    And of course.....a Breitling ...

  23. #598
I wish I had taken more than a single photo of the L-39V at Gatow so I could beg for a Jafo-treated repaint of it and provide details.

And apparently, I can fly on a L-39 in Germany for 2000€. Donations, anyone?

    Ah....a request....

I shall see what I can do.

I still have about 20 to compile/convert to dds and upload, but like the Breitling it's not always easy to choose what's next [there are 3 basic variations of the Breitling].

Specific model designation...CN number...AC ID .... anything that can refine a search....is all that's needed [usually]...

    Edit....
Won't be a problem....heaps of photos available.....consider it done [metaphorically]...

  25. #600
VERY early days...but the fuse stripe/colour change is mostly OK.
There's quite a few pics of this critter...way more than some I have attempted [X-02 springs to mind]...

Edit...added a bit more...had to fiddle with an East German Logo...
