Good morning all,
With Rob's Banshee, whom I thank for his work, I see in virtual cockpit view, engines running, a tremor of the device as soon as I brake or on park brakes!
How to remove this tremor?
Thanks for your help.
Alain
I too experience the shimmy and shake with engines running and in cockpit view. Maybe this some added "realism"?
Edit: In cockpit view and parking brake is set I see the shimmy effect. When I release parking brake, the shimmy stops.
In spot view no shimmy/shake is noticeable with parking brake set.
The shimmy is not seen in P3D_V4.4 so chalk it up to an FSX oddity. The way I correct little insignificant things like this is to ask myself these questions:
Does it keep me from taxiing to the EOR or to my parking spot?
Does it keep me from taking off or landing?
Does it otherwise infringe on my enjoyment of the airplane itself?
Since all those can be answered NO. . .I move on and go fly this excellent airplane.

Perfect splendid colours
Mr Ed,
1. I was just sharing my experience with the other gent that has same issue. I am using P3D V3.4 not FSX -
2. I can live with it
3. I could just delete it and move on as well.
4. So, If I see some issue(s) then I am to remain silent?
5. Is is a nice freeware airplane and I didn't say otherwise.
6. Have a blessed day Mr Ed.
Re: the shimmy when the parking brake is engaged try this...
change toe_brakes_scale = 1.7 //Brake scalar to toe_brakes_scale = 1.0 //Brake scalar then re-start sim.
For those who want to tweak the landing gear (tire) distance and stance on the runway use these numbers:
static_pitch = -1.4
static_cg_height= 4.3
point.0= 1, 14.610, 0.000, -3.95,......
point.1= 1, -0.720, -7.490, -4.35,.....
point.2= 1, -0.720, 7.490, -4.35,.....
Well, it looks like it worked for a while and then started shaking again so I don't know. 2.0 did not work for me.
*Try disengaging the parking brake then re-engaging.
good evening
I do not think that the braking force is at fault!
Rather, I see the damping ratio [contact_points] in the aircraft.cfg to be adjusted! I have already varied the values and I see changes in the vibration frequency and its amplitude!
Maybe I can resolve this!
Alain
Nope, by all means let them be known. I simply don't (and didn't) see this as anything worth bothering with. If I sat for an hour on a parking spot with the engines running. . .maybe, but for the short time that the brakes are on, I just see it as insignificant and not worth bothering with.

Concerning the tremors, in the aircraft cfg [weight and balance] section try changing this:
empty_weight_roll_MOI=16420.64000
empty_weight_pitch_MOI=30437.10000
empty_weight_yaw_MOI=16049.3700
to this:
empty_weight_roll_MOI=26420.64000
empty_weight_pitch_MOI=30437.10000
empty_weight_yaw_MOI=26049.3700
The new numbers came from the P3D version. Now works beautifully for me.
I had to resize the Banjo's main textures and bump maps down to 2048x2048 to get it to work on my older rig but after that no problem. Very nice jet. Thank you Rob!
Charlie Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and will eventually buy a new computer. Running a Chromebook for now!
Would like to of had option to fly without the tip tanks as seen in video:
Near the end of the video I see why the Banshee kneels.
I think the small wheels inserted/removed from in front of the nose gear was called a "parking dolly".

Hello,
Problem solved thanks to Bob407 whom I thank!
For me too it was worth getting into trouble!

I tried the FSX Banjo in P3D (I dont have FSX anymore) with my repaints, and everything seemed to work without any glitches, so there is a good chance my repaints will work in FSX as well, without any adaptations.
This is the FSX model in my sim:
jk4568
jk4569
doesn't look so bad, does it? Can anyone try in FSX?
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
