Spot on, Kevin - I thought the lack of cowl might throw you.....
Yes, the Meridionali/I.M.A.M Ro30, although in the Jane's of the time they were called 'Romeo'.

As a new arrival, I just thought that I'd say hello to you gentlemen. I'm looking forward to being able to identify one of your fiendishly difficult mystery aircraft and then posting something that might have you scratching your heads!
pomme homme
Welcome, pomme homme ! We try to vary the 'fiendish' machines to suit everybody, and always welcome new blood, so don't be intimidated !
Quite often the regulars get sidetracked elsewhere and will declare an 'OH' or Open House, and then you can dive in with one of your own - we look forward to seeing your posts
Thanks Mike. Also, welcome to pomme homme and to Green (hope we see you back soon).
Full frontal anyone?
Wow BG ,that was fast! Better have a double!
That, sir, is the Aeromarine EO.
Here's a trimotor with a hole in the middle.....
You found it indeed, Mr Green ! Well spotted - over to you (Don't know what your choice of tipple is - we have a limited range in this little saloon......)
You alluded to time zones in a previous post - I take it you are west of the Atlantic - we have contributors from all over and it seems to even itself out.
Thanks very much lefty! I'll pass on the drink though - past history of alcohol abuse. I'll try that full frontal approach, but go with Tiny-pic as I had too much trouble with the attachment process this morning....
Cheers.
A tiny bit too cryptic for me, Mr. Green......maybe a clue or two?
BG
Looks a lot like the Hughes H1 which it isn't I know, but who copied it to some extent I have no idea.
Bit more help please for me.......
Keith
The second shot has a Seversky feel to it.
Pratt & Whitney powered?
I think that this is the Hawks (Miller) HM-1 (some sources call it the HM-2), which was developed from Howard Miller's 'Time Flies' racer by MAC as a two seat fighter.
Thank you, Green.
By way of an inaugural offering, maybe the following will be of interest. I hope that it hasn't been used before. But with such a venerable thread, it's not practicable to check to see!
I have a bottle of my own eau de vie de prune mirabelle uncorked and ready for a correct identification!
