I am about to update textures for the LN-FTX (got some more pictures of the real FTX, which was very helpful). I miss the option of smoke on the PT 17 model

Congratulations! I don't have it but the model seems great. Undoubtedly, a good debut for GAS in MSFS! Cool !

Updated versions of PT-17 LN-FTX and LN-VAR are now available at flightsim.to. Model is changed to "Civil" for both liveries, and smoke option is enabled.

Is it possible to get a bit more dense smoke effect?

Yes ! But I need to recompile the effect and denser or longer ... it also means more consumption CPU/GPU
Some also want the possibility to have three colors at the same time ... and I can’t please everyone.
I’ll see what I can do for the Super Stearman and if I can make the effects longer and denser, I think I can make them crush the previous version and thus benefit both addons.
I have some ideas that I test
Thank you very much Lagaffe
The 3 GAS Stearman models are very nicely done, and I enjoy flying them. It is also nice that the models comes with a good paint kit. The two Norwegian Stearman liveries are copies of real aircraft (the yellow LN-VAR is owned by friends of mine). The real N2S-3 Kaydet LN-VAR is fitted with a 220 hp R-670 Continental engine. It has a wooden propeller (like seen on the GAS PT-13 model). The fire extinguisher placard on left side of the cockpit, is not present on the real LN-VAR. I did not quite succeed in removing the placard , but that's not a big deal.
