In through the nose, out through the mouth, in through the nose, out through the mouth. What? Me nervous? Nah.
Leaving VVTS for VVNT
What an interesting afternoon! What started as a 'I'll quickly knock this leg off' ended in gnashing of tooth.
Here's a tip for all you wannabe racers.
1:Start from the correct airport.
2:When you crash because you're looking at the overhead view to see where the bloody sea is, DO NOT go back to the SAME airport to start again. That calls for an Abort.
3: When you finally arrive at Phucat (I said something similar) do not discover a phantom crashbox!
I swear I was still 15' in the air over the numbers when BANG! Game over.
Oh and 4: Do not clout the wife, it wasn't her fault.
You got this Ron! Cuz you're on instruments! LOL
Good hunting.
BTW watching you live (still not awake, need more coffee!) via the Duenna "view live" function which still works on the QTWeb browser v3.8.5 b108 as it still loads the Google Earth plugin where all other browsers don't.
edit -NICE ONE RON!!!
Before I post up my last leg, is there some issue with VTUQ and VTUN? I definitely patted myself on the back for overflying, what I thought was, VTUQ and landed safely at, what I thought was VTUN. But Duenna, she say no! She say I land VTUQ
EDIT: just been back to FSX and sure enough, elect to go to VTUN spawns you at VTUQ and vice versa.
Sorry about the two screen shots. Not sure what happened there.
I could swear I posted my Duenna bits. Oh well, I'll do it again.

I'm now leaving VTUN/VTUQ bound for VTBU. It'll be interesting to see where I pitch up.
In the sea, that's where I pitched up! Arrived at the coast too far south and was making my way in an orderly fashion, northwards. I had to resort to sticking my head out of the window so I could see the airport when it appeared.
Well it did appear but rather too suddenly for my liking. A savage turn to the right combined with insufficient height and too little power.....Early bath.
Welcome to the Ocean Bathing club. I did a CFIW (Controlled Flight into Water) a few flights ago, so don't feel bad. Sar is very nice and pretty quick, although I hope like heck I never see them again
Good luck on future flights! Keep the energy up, and the wheels dry
Pat☺
You seem to be having a fine old time roaming round Southeast Asia.
When are we gonna see a screenshot of the "Hun" in Attwood action?
How about with the drag shute deployed (preferably on landing rollout)?
